Description

I built this as a replacement gaming computer. Once I figured out my budget, it was obvious I would get more for my money doing it myself. It went together great, booted up on the first try. I'm still tweaking it to get every ounce of performance I can. I am just waiting for my Oculus Rift to get here now....

I already owned it on steam! I built this for running a Rift, and it is blowing it away on Ultra everything

+1 for Starcraft XD. How do you like the NZXT Phantom 530?

It's amazing. I wasn't sure about the glossy white, but I love it now. The only problem I have with it is the hdd led on the front is a glaring, blinking white. I popped the cover and put a piece of tape over it to darken it.

$1,200 but there really is no difference between 1,200 and 1,000 anyways. Who needs an SSD? Heuheuheuheu

yeah ssd will not affect gaming fps , just will speed up loading

I was being sarcastic but honestly speaking, in this day and age, it's pretty convenient to have an SSD.

Why 4x8GB or 2x(2x8GB) of RAM in your case not 2x16GB? People have been telling me to get 2 modules because the ASUS Maximus Hero VIII is a dual channel board and will put less stress on the mobo and cpu.

I probably should have went 2x16. When I built it originally I put in 2x. Then when I decided I wanted 32gb I changed it to 4 instead of 2x16. Stupid moment

What's your reasoning to your regret?
