Greetings! I recently spent money to build my first PC. I always was fascinated with computers ever since I was a kid. Hope you enjoy :)

This computer is primarily used for gaming, however given it's graphics capabilities I plan on learning video editing programs such as Adobe Premiere as it will help tremendously when it comes time to transfer to my next college. In addition, this has been my education station, I'm extremely fascinated with programming and plan to master Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, and C.

I've opted to an i7 7700, despite i5's being better at gaming. As stated earlier this is also is a video editing PC

Personally I love AIO pumps mainly because of how little noise they produce, I went with the Corsair H100i v2 for aesthetics and the two additional fans which came in handy when setting up the neutral pressure fan orientation

The Asus PRIME Z-270 was my choice. Great motherboard that features a plethora of on board features.

16GB was the bare minimum for multiple reasons. For example, I multi-task constantly, and the extra memory will allow for a more a smooth experience. To match the color scheme I have selected white

SSD as my boot, and Hard drive as mass storage.

This one was a battle for me due to the fact that there is a huge selection of beautiful cases. Ultimately I chose the NZXT S340 because of its beauty.

Personally I see WAYY too much builds that have an overkill 1000+ watt power supply for such a cheap build. I went with Corsair RMx 550W mainly because this PC doesn't require too much power, in addition 500W was the bare minimum for my GeForce 1070ti

I could have gone with an aftermarket video card, however I believe that Nvidia's Founder's Edition cards are aesthetically pleasing. I did acquire this card far before Bitcoin exploded.

While it would be a shame to cheap out on a monitor that is powered by a beast of a video card, I did not want 4k mainly because of price. I picked up the Dell S2417DG for $299.

To keep up with the Corsair theme, I have selected the Corsair K70 rapidfire keyboard because I like the feel and sound of this keyboard. Fantastic for typing, better in gaming!

I'm not an audiophile so I went cheap here and got the LogitechZ200. For my headset I went with the Corsair VOID Pro ( USB )

NOTE: The whole assembly took about 6 hours. Last two were spent configuring the UEFI/BIOS and installing drivers

You could have gone even further with the Corsair theme by using the 400c. I've always preferred that case over the S340, but this is a great build nonetheless!

Ah yes that is a good case, however I'm not a fan of the release handle on the display side. yeah it was really a tough choice, it came down to the Corsair 750d and the NZXT S340 for me

I'm learning JS/Jquery right now and man it is hard for me to grasp lol. I've learned I'm a lot better with front end. Good luck with everything! Looks great by the way, very clean.

What about C++?

Vecheetah submitter 1 Build 1 point 12 months ago

Some point down the line I'd like to program using the C++ language. Right now I am a novice

When I was browsing for custom cables I found these for 25% off on AMazon

I guess that works :P

If you're going to learn premiere get the sony 7506. Clean flat audio is very helpful when you're editing.
