Description

I'm in the last year of my Game Design Program and needed something that could both render and play 4k models/games. I wanted to do something that wasn't too flashy but had a sort of low-key and refined look. This is what I came up with.

The monitor is the thing most have asked me about. It's phenomenal and worth every penny. I'll be getting a second before too long. Another question that comes up is why I went with the Scythe SCNJ-4000 over something like the Kracken Water Cooler. Shrug At the time, I hadn't considered overclocking and I still haven't done any of it for either the CPU or the GPU. No reason to run warmer than I need to at this point. I haven't been able to get a single Core above 59 degrees Celsius outside of running Prime 95 for more than 45 minutes. The only other thing I may add, other than possibly switching to a Watercooler for my CPU is adding a few 120mm fans at the top of the case if I decide to start overclocking.

Hope you guys like the build. I'll answer any questions you guys have.

Amazing build, that CPU cooler looks SICK!

Thanks man, I like it too. I knew it was chrome, but I didn't even notice the Shuriken machining until I opening it up. As much as I hate cable management, it was worth it to keep that cooler and the GPU's the focal point.

You made a damn fine rig.

As a college student I can definitely relate since my 3 year old gaming laptop is showing weakness more and more and costing me time. Especially in the future when I will most likely need to freelance and I'll need a beefy rig that can help me bring in the money. Hopefully the tax return at the end of this year will be enough for me as well like it was for you.

May it render faithfully and serve you for a long time to come.

Hey! Very nice build! I am thinking of going with the same case (probably without the window) and also the Scythe Ninja.

Did you have any clearance issues with your ram or the case? I am hoping to fit in some Corsair Vengeance that have some heat spreaders but fairly low profile. But I can see you have ram without heat spreaders.

I feel like the only one on here who doesn't vape.
