Part Reviews

CPU

Great price and performance!

Motherboard

Great for my needs, does get a little hot though...

Memory

Had a small issue but fixed it with no problems. Not even sure if it was the ram but the speaker told me it was.

Storage

Fairly fast but a little loud, as long as you don't mind that this is great!

Case

I guess it works but it was dirty when it arrived, not packaged well and for $20 shipping alone I would've expected more!!! My advice is to not buy this case even if it is cheap just get a better one.

Wireless Network Adapter

Works well even without using the setup disk (I don't have a drive) faster than my laptop is at least.

In your opinion, how does the performance compare to a PS4 or XBox One?

Have you ever played Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon? The puns in that game would be right up your alley.

Sorry don't have one of those :/ I would say it would be better. just look up something like: AMD A10 7850k vs PS4 or Xbox one. I really dont know though sorry :( thanks for the comment anyway :)

well at least you found your mistake fast

the case and PSU for now are ok for your current needs

but you will need to get a new casing and PSU

the Corsair Spec series or the CoolerMaster N200 should do the trick

PSU wise look up brands like EVGA, CoolerMaster GM series and Seasonic

Yeah really wish I would have bought a better case like everyone online was saying... Oh well at least I learned something.

You should've seen the packaging there was actual dirt or mud on the bottom and it wasn't even clean.

Thanks for the advice! ;)

+1 just for "ZIG" profile name :) And to answer those with the PS4 comparison... the answer is varying. Some games look and function better on PC than console, some on console are optimized for console. It's a hit and miss. The advantage going PC on the other hand is simply that you can upgrade/update at your leisure. Now, in terms of specs, etc. It's actually an AMD 8 core Jaguar CPU chip used in BOTH the PS4 and Xbox One. These are laptop/tablet CPU's. The reason they function so well is the optimization of the built in OS's provided by Sony and Microsoft to push these chips to pure graphical output, plus the 8 cores vs the typical 2 or 4 that Kabini uses. On top of that, they have simulated 7870 (PS4) and 7790 (Xbox)GPU's integrated, both with 8 GB RAM. GDDR5 5500MHz in the PS4 and GDDR3 2133 Mhz in the Xbox One. On Paper, the PS4 should kill the Xbox One... but due to poor optimization the PS4 usually loses. That being said, the iGPU on the A10-7850K is an R7. So on paper, it's actually a poorer GPU, but with optimization this can game as well or comparable to a console. Sorry that's long but that's the gist of it

Wow! Thanks so much :) I really didn't know. This computer will suit my needs for now, and if I want to upgrade then I'll put a gpu in it. Thanks for the comment :3

Really good budget, the case was hit or miss but it was within your price range. I would agree the PSU should be replaced, the case should be find as a cardboard box would work fine. No shame with this as a first build. Good call on getting the faster RAM for that APU, many people miss that.

Upgrade suggestions. PSU first, go with a cheap EVGA if you can. A lot of people don't like the corsair CX lineup but for this build it will be fine if you cannot find anything of a better quality that is cheaper. Get a SSD, you will thank me. Even just a 120GB for a boot drive. (your HDD will not always be spinning if your OS is not on it, this will help quiet your PC down a bit) Case, I would shoot for a NZXT case. They have never done me wrong, have good features and look good.

Totally agree :) I was going to go for an SSD but opted for higher storage, but definitely going to get one when I get some more money. The case and power supply wires feel like paper, I thought they were going to break when I plugged 'em in! XD

At least everything works (for now) I will definitely update the case and PSU very soon.

Thanks for the comment and advice! :)
