So, after 4 months of looking on PCPP and finding out what is compatable, I present you my first build. I went for a red theme because I was getting an amd processor so why now match the colors? On CS:GO It averages 120-130 fps and on minecraft It averaged somewhere around 160 with everything maxed and render distance 32.

Note: the Rosewill RNX-N250UBE doesn't fully support windows 8! It shuts off after like 10-15 minutes of use.

Part Reviews

Cheap 6 core processor. Nothing more. Plays my games sorta smooth. If all you play is single core games, get an i3/ i5

Worked out of box with my 6300 and fit in my case :)

I dont know why anyone would sell 8 gigs of ddr3 2400 ram for 30 bucks on newegg but was a steal!

Noisy in the "Tooless Design Bays" but cheap reliable 1tb storage.

Video Card

Runs everything i have thrown at it on 1080p. The vga adapter allowed me to use my old dell monitor and save some money. And the fans dont turn on untill the card reaches 60C.

Good cable management and looks good.

Power Supply

Does what its supposed to do.

Optical Drive

Very loud but works.

Operating System

Good operating system. Might upgrade to windows 10

Wireless Network Adapter

Dont even get me started! Doesntt work well with windows 8 AT ALL. 100mb/s max!

Nice build. If you priced gauged a bit, you could've gotten a radeon r9 380 4 GB for the same price.

you should have gotten a red case then or just a plain black case with red led fans

gr8 build, i used same case as u but i had to bend the case so that the GPU screws would be aligned up. I also used the same keyboard. only thing thats annoying about it is the LED button

blakeganiere submitter 1 Build 1 point 37 months ago

I know The gpu screws were screwd up! xD puns!

How do you like the cpu/mobo combo? I was considering both of those and I just cannot make up my mind for the motherboard. Nice build BTW. Needs more red lol.

Worked out of box, the 6300's cores are weak compared to i3/ i5

Nice build! I'm going to use this case. Maybe sometime in the future you should get a new monitor
