Description

Well this is actually my first time building a PC I finished it last Thursday. I pulled an all nighter to finish building it and completed it in 6-7 hours. Sounds long but it was my first time building a PC ever so I don't think it was too bad. I still need to do better cable management and add in some red LED strips later. But I think it looks pretty good. Runs Rise of the Tomb Raider and Street Fighter V really smooth no problems. Hopefully this system will last me for a long while!

Its about a $1900 USD build but I actually ordered some other parts I didn't use like a Blu Ray Drive, another case (Corsair 760T), other motherboards, and other misc. stuff. I'm in the process of reselling those items but since I bought em all new I will have lost some money and I guess you can add around $200 to that total I guess to the build cost.

Next time I build a PC I'll try to build a $1000-$1500 price range . This time I used all new parts with no rebates/deals. If I really wanted to penny pinch I could have saved a bunch by buying used parts but I didn't want to have problems with parts not working my first PC build!

Awesome hardware, but man what a messy setup.

Reminds me of home.

You aren't don't yet!

Order an SSD - 256 GB if you are tired of spending - and put your OS install on it. You've bottlenecked the rest of that amazing hardware!

Nice build, I would strongly suggest an SSD (that WD blue is really holding you back) and a monitor upgrade. With the 980ti I would suggest a 1440 monitor and at least a 100-120hz refresh rate. You may have to save for it but in the short term a nice 500gb SSD would be nice and only around 110-150 bucks.

Maybe doing the cable management in the middle of the night wasn't a great idea ;). Other than that, this looks like a solid build. Just... please fix the cables.

Why the gaming m3? I would have gone with the m5 or m7, especially with the 6700k

Awesome job on a first build you should head over to Ikea and pick up a cable management rack and attach it underneath your desk to really clean up the cables other than that its pretty great. In the near future the GTX 1080/1070 are coming out and if you really want to upgrade your pc and have the money I would buy one of the two and also pick up a 500Gb ssd somewhere around there I picked up a Kingston 480gb ssd for 80 bucks.
