Description

built this to mostly mod skyrim to the max and play alot of other games that are graphically intense.

UPDATE have to fix my motherboard coz two pins on the usb 3 connector are bent and the wifi module isnt being detcted so cant play any games!!

UPDATE OCT 2016 finally noticing some performance issues with my gaming (skyrim crashing more often, fos drops on BO3, etc) and eventually found out that my cpu had cooling problems. Recently purchased noctua nf-f12 cpu cooler. Other than this the pc has been completely fine and ran every game maximum without breaking a sweat (does sometimes struggle to run skyrim but this is an exception due to the MASSIVE amount of mods i have). However, the pc on idle ans running games isnt that quiet and ive noticed this more after moving it from under my desk to onto my desk ( so i could look at the beauty) but this was to be expected having bought no after market fans and having bought the cheapest 970 (over $400 wtf!).

The worst thing I would say about this build is the motherboard only having 2 fan ports which i horribly didnt notice when i bought so the front fan was complety off

Part Reviews

CPU

The best processor for me and affordable so yeh

Motherboard

Only came with 2 fan headers like wtf and the wifi is so frustrating to put on. Even when the wifi is on the board it wont show up on windows which i need to check out. But everything else is pre good.

Case

Very sexy looking and easy thumb screws. But sometimes the side panels sre a struggle to get off but all round great case.

Thinking about getting this same mobo with a K processor. What sort of OCing options does it have?

wingerbee submitter 1 Build 1 point 24 months ago

sorry for the late reply lol but i never attempted to oc my cpu due to cooling and being a h97 board i dont think it supports it anyways. Pretty sure the higher end mobos support it but i doubt this will help being 18 months late hahahahaa sorry

ive been hearing that this mobo has problems with 2 dimms, is that why you only have 1?

sorry for the late reply but i only have one to leave room for 16gb but so far no problems. would still recommend a better mobo in general
