Description

Cost effective upgrade from a micro atx home pc. First ever build, on a fixed income, I'm happy with the results.

AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core - Best bang for my buck

Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Rev 5.0 - I debated on a cheap video card and a permanent mobo or a cheap temporary mobo with integrated graphics to get this build going, I went for the latter. Will upgrade with purchase of dedicated Video card.

Kingston Fury White Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 - RAM is RAM

Corsair SPEC-03 White ATX Mid Tower - I just really like the case and it came with an extra fan. I got a 4 pin y split for the 2 fans in the front and a 3 pin to molex for the exhaust.

EVGA 850W ATX12V - Made by Super Flower, tier 2 class A according to http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing - I couldn't stand the stock CPU cooler for long.

Do you find the 212 Evo fits in okay without touching the window? I have just built a system with the same case and CPU, but held back on it!

The 212 Evo does not touch the window on this build
