Hello! This is a computer I built for my friend Max with a 900 dollar budget. The GPU hasn't come yet so you won't see it right now but I'll upload pictures when it comes.

CPU (I5-6600k)

Max will only be using this pc for gaming so the 6600k was an obvious choice especially on this kind of budget. So far I have overclocked it to 4.4ghz at 1.26 volts. Even with its integrated graphics it performs decently so we are happy!

CPU Cooler (Hyper 212 EVO)

Keeps the CPU under 60*C at all times. Very good air cooler for the price.

Motherboard (Asus Z170-E)

Has a great bios and SLI/Crossfire capability at a great price. It also fits very well with an all black build.

Memory (Kingston HyperX 8Gb)

Just ram that works

Case (Corsair 200R)

Has plenty of room, many fan mounts, and looks clean!

Power Supply (EVGA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified)

80+ Gold Certified, Fully Modular, and got it at a good price.

Part Reviews

Great CPU for the price and is perfect for a gaming build

SLI/Crossfire capability and has a great bios for overclocking

Plenty of room for upgrades and has decent cable management

Power Supply

Good if you can get it for a decent price

Which way is that CPU fan blowing? It should blow out the back or top. Most people would put the fan on the other side of the tower in a "push" configuration.

The fan is confusing in the way it is now it is pushing air through the heatsink and if we put it on the other side then it pushes air towards the intake fan which we thought wasn't a good idea

will corsair CX600M 80Plus Bronze psu work good with rx 480?

Cruzaz submitter 3 Builds 0 points 16 months ago

yes more than good you could run the 480 on a 430 watt psu

no ssd?

Also, let us know how the rx 480 performs

Someonewithadesk 1 point 9 months ago

any reason you went for the Z170-E instead of the slightly cheaper Z170-P? especially because you went with the RX-480, and both those mobos are crossfire compatible. im looking to do a similar build, but i cant decide on mobo
