Description

Started this build back in May, slowly racking up parts. It's now the end of September and it's finally done.

I wanted a 3700X but I didn't really need the 2 extra cores plus the 3600 is quite the deal. Was close to getting a 5700 XT but I saw this 1080ti just in time.

PSU, bequiet cooler and bequiet fans, GPU and vert. bracket are all used. I wouldn't recommend getting a used PSU however I couldn't pass the deal up, the power switch at the back is stuck to the "1" position, but, really who gives a ****, plus mine still has 8 years of warranty left so whatever. Build is black/grey themed with hints of rgb, which I keep off most of the time.

I got the C6H on sale, it was cheaper than all the B450 boards and has better features and VRM's. 0 issues after updating bios, booted from first try😎.

Didn't put much thought into which RAM kit I got, just made sure it's 3000Mhz or better. Turned out it's quite a good kit and I'm looking forward to playing with it!

Picking a case with the huge dilemma, but I ended up with the Luxe 2 because I was looking for something big with tempered glass along the lines of Tt View 71. It's more than I intended on spending for a case but I absolutely love it, this big boi is definitely in need of a bigger desk😬.

Even though the case is huge, getting the gpu to sit vertically was a pita and it's slightly bent now, but nothing major.

Looking forward I might get a 3700X/3900X once they get cheaper or just 4th gen, bigger hard drive and a riser cable to move the gpu so it's not so cluttered.

This build really needed a bigger desk, thankfully I managed to find a used one for pretty cheap and wrapped it in a nice greyish-white vinyl.

Prices reflect what I actually paid, I could've easily spent under 950eur if I cheaped out on case/fans, however the extra costs are worth it :).

Dang $385 USD for a 1080 ti? That's a steal.

Ah, yes. This is indeed a decent pc for "homework." Got to make sure that you can get at least 144 fps at 4k in microsoft word and excel.
