Description

Built a new PC for my Partner. Havent built a PC since we were using DDR2 and SSD didnt exist, so this was fun to do.

Definitely needs more lighting though on the other half of the case so will need to replace the standard fans at the back and maybe some light strips.

Was worried about the Trident Z as it was not the AMD version but loaded the XMP profile in the BIOS and it went straight to 3200 no problems at all.

Everything actually went really smoothly which I was surprised about. Next build will be for me though because I am now green with envy!

Live in AUS. Got it in store. No bios updates or anything. Drop it in and away we went. No issues at all

Nice build. How are the temps for CPU and GPU?

Temps are good. Case has plenty of airflow which can be a little loud but tinkered with the fan profiles and all good now.

I think that the non Max tomahwak looks better, this one looks black and green, do you like the color?

The max seems to look identical. It might just be the bad lighting but the board is pretty much just black and white. I didn't like the red all over the gaming plus just because it seemed to limit colour scheme

How is the stock cooler? too loud?

I mean I wouldnt say its loud, but its not as quiet as it could be. In hindsight I probably should have found another 30-40 bucks and chucked a cooler on it. But for what its used for its all good.
