Description

After 5 years of pricing out and researching parts, I finally pulled the trigger. Hoping to add in a nice graphics card eventually but this is still more computer than I've ever laid hands on.

Sweet..... Keep your eyes open at this time of year and I like the 270 suggestion but it seems NVIDIA is throwing in games with their cards if that matters to you. At a price near the 270 is NVIDIA GTX760's.

Looks cool now you need a video card so you can actually use it :p

Not necessarily. He could use the integrated HD graphics on the i7, but I agree. You get a massive boost from a GPU.

The game that I play the most is League of Legends so the integrated is working fine for that. But I have a huge steam library that I've been cultivating in anticipation for this build, so yes, I'm planning on getting a graphics card as soon as I start work again. Definitely looking at the 760, it seems like the card to get for 1080p gaming on the NVIDIA side of things.

I'm nearly finished my build and I've been racking my brain about which card to get. It seems like you really can't go wrong with a gtx 760 @ 260$ with two free games. The r9 270x is a good candidate for about 60$ cheaper (but if you plan on buying either AC4 or splinter cell, just get the 760 imo). The r9 280x is a good candidate for about 50-100$ more, some of them come with BF4. The xfx dd 7950 was an amesome deal at 270$ but I totally @(*#in missed that @#%$. :( +1 for a good first almost complete build!

ps. you totally remind me of myself. My first build was the same price, and I played WoW and LoL off the integrated graphics for at least 6 months! Eventually I got an HD 4670 which blowed some serious chunks for a while until I upgraded to a 6850 which I am using now. Don't cheap out! Give your rig the card it deserves!
