Godzilla began as a budget gaming build that I saved up for in the summer of 2012. As my first build, I made a few mistakes, and I've learned a lot from it (especially cable management, as you can see). I bought most of it as a barebones kit from Tiger Direct, and I've added a few bits and pieces as we've gone. I got the CM GX650, Dell keyboard and monitor from a friend who upgraded his setup and had no use for them.
I use it mostly for gaming, and it does most of it perfectly. The GT 440 is definitely on the low end, but since my tv has a max of 1366x768, it runs everything at maximum settings. It idles a bit high for my liking, but it never rises too drastically. Some of the higher games it runs are Darksiders, Fallout: New Vegas, Borderlands, Saints Row: The Third, and Arma 2. It had a terrible time when I tried Planetside 2 however.
At this point, I'm trying to decide whether I want to upgrade it further, or just start a new build with everything I've learned.
4/30/2013 Update Added an ASRock 970 Extreme3 and AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black to replace the heavily dated and limited processor and mobo. Really need a nice heatsink to go with it, cause the Phenom heats up like crazy. Most likely getting a 212 EVO or a NH-D14, whatever my price range is at the time. Feel free to make some suggestions for it!
Pictures up! More cable managing (as much as I can get with this dangus case).
