I use it for gaming and it works wonderfully
looks good, but damn thats expensive with only a 760 in there.
If you budgeted your build better, you definitely could have stuck a 780 ti in there. My personal rig costed roughly the same and I was able to fit in a 780. The 4GB of VRAM is unnecessary if you're only on one monitor so you could have saved money and just gone with the 2GB version. Keyboard seems a bit expensive. Excellent choice for speakers, my friend has them and whenever I hang out with him I never fail to notice the awesome sound quality esp. for the price and size. Since this build is for gaming, you could have just gone with a 4670k, but honestly I think it was a smart call because the features that come with an i7 are always good to have. You never know when you may need hyperthreading.
for like 20$ more he could've gotten a 770
In my opinion, 760 is a great card, and I imagine it was a little more expensive because it has 4GB.. I think where you could have really saved some money is the RAM. DDR3-2400 is a touch overkill, and actually more difficult to overclock (should you decide to do that).. I made the mistake of overpaying for RAM as well :( but overall I think you did a really nice job on this rig! Enjoy
VERY nice build and cable management
Thats an ambitious build for a first timer :) I really like it though, I think the price was good considering you have all your peripherals added to the list which its like $600 worth of stuff so its good. solid build for around $1800, well done. +1
Thanks I see some people's comments about price being over 2000 and its obvious that they don't realize I added all peripherals in also
If you're running a single monitor a GTX 770 2GB would've been a better choice here.
Adding a second monitor soon that why I went for the 4gb
Great job man very nice! :D
Quite a lot of spending for a first build; and good job with the aesthetics and cable management. However, maybe better budgeting could have gotten you a much better GPU, considering you spent so much money. Again, though, good job, and have fun with your brand new machine. Cheers
How does the graphics card do?
So you decided to spend over than 2K on a gaming PC, and you bought a GTX 760? Could have been better but whatever, enjoy your new build.
Dat cable management....
As noted, this is pretty unbalanced for a $2500 (!!!) budget. You over-spent on pretty much every category, without resulting in a performance increase. Ouch.
I guess if it's what you wanted, more power to you. A description on your parts might help make more sense of what you did here.
