Description

Basically this build is for casual everyday use and a little bit more on some light games, specifically Dota 2. For sure I can save more money from what this PC is built for or I can get a more better components from how much I spent but its just that I wanted to do it a bit artistically :D

Started planning this build last May 2016. Took me a long time to finish everything because of waiting for some parts to go on sale and the release of new graphics card. But since the new GPU's always go out of stock, I just gave up. Also given the place where I live its really difficult to get on hands with those new graphics card.

Enjoy!

Does your B150M Bazooka baord have the same explosive performance as the note 7?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 5 points 19 months ago

+1! Haha :D

WirelessCables 1 Build 3 points 19 months ago

Are you sure? One review I read about the Note 7 was that it packs an unprecedented amount of power in such a small form factor...

Victor_the-_- 13 points 19 months ago

I shall name it "THE WIRELESS BEAST!!!!!" Great cable manengment!

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 4 points 19 months ago

Thanks man! Spent a lot of time for it. I actually like that name :D

Victor_the-_- 3 points 19 months ago

I've been thinking of this idea where it's a normal desk but it'll have a box in the back under the desk the same width of course and a space on the top big enough for power bricks and a power surge so it gives the apperence its wireless!

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

That would be perfect! Would love to see you do it. In my case, I just hang the power surge and modem on the bottom of my desk.

WirelessCables 1 Build 3 points 19 months ago

Drill holes for your keyboard and mouse wires and I approve! Everything is so clean and hidden away, besides your PC of course. ;-)

+1
ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

Honestly I was thinking about it :D Maybe the time when I can get myself better and good looking keyboard and mouse. Thanks man!

bmads21 6 points 19 months ago

what monitor is that?? btw this is a rlly clean build u should be proud. +1

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 4 points 19 months ago

Thanks man! For sure it feels good. By the way the monitor is MG248Q Gaming Monitor from ASUS. Great monitor, would recommend!

rhali8 2 Builds 5 points 19 months ago

Very nice! A very clean, beautiful build with great cable management and an awesome color scheme. Definitely feature worthy! +1 :)

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

OMG! :D I'm really honored to be featured in your Instagram :)) Thanks a lot man!

andyv001 2 points 19 months ago

Very nice clean build mate. I've got a build using the White Air 540 case but it's not nearly as tidy as this, particularly with your cable management!

Could I please ask where you got your white cables and the desk from?

Thanks man :D

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks mate!Just take your time doing the cable management. Try to visualize how you want it to be :D

I got the desk from amazon, South Shore Furniture Interface Desk (Pure White). For the cables, they are white paracord extention cables from ensourced.net :)

andyv001 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks man! Don't think I can get hold of that desk in the UK from the look of it :(

I'll try and get round to posting pics of my build soon. Won't be as fresh looking as a new build as its been in use since December :D

Epic_gaming7 2 points 8 months ago

What desk is that ? it looks nice.

DJZike 1 point 19 months ago

Really nice build im wondering where did you get that desk at?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

I got it from amazon which at the time of my purchase was on sale :D Its South Shore Furniture Interface Desk, Pure White.

bmads21 1 point 19 months ago

Ok so this is the same monitor I am about to buy for my up and coming 6600k gtx 1060 build. I was wondering if it has g-sync, and if there are any features you think I should know about.

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

For sure that build of yours will be great! This monitor only has the free-sync for AMD, but it has 3D Vision support for NVIDIA. It also got exclusive Display Widget software for easy access on the menu. I don't think you can get a monitor with 144hz, 1ms response time, and g sync support at the price point of this monitor. But if you can, Id recommend going for a monitor with g sync :) Still this monitor is also great :D

PcMasterNividia 1 point 19 months ago

This is a weird question but.... Is it possible to remove the ring at the base of the monitor.

andyv001 1 point 19 months ago

I have the 27 inch version of this monitor, and wholeheartedly recommend it. If I could turn back time though I would definitely go for the humungous curved option though :p

Enrico411 1 point 19 months ago

Great build! +1!

Frostbite11 1 point 19 months ago

awesome build +1

how do you get a backplate like this but for a asus 1060

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

I guess most of the 1060 now has a backplate already. But If you want, you can visit v1tech.com. They do customization or pre-made backplates there :)

jmx009 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

love the look of the whole system. +1

shadowbyte918 4 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

beautiful!

chadlockholmes 1 point 19 months ago

Nice build +1. Love the lamp, what is it?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

I forgot the specific name of it but I just bought it from wallmart :D

DISEASE 1 point 19 months ago

WOW! It's SO beautiful!

ethereal333 3 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

Artistic is always the way to go! :) Also very nice and clean.

t5046 1 point 19 months ago

Beautiful build! Its exactly What I want to do with my build. How does the low profile phanteks cooler do under load? I really want a top flow fan for aesthetics but I need a little performance as well.

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

Hey man! Got an update on the CPU Temps :D Looks like I mistook the data from GPU last time XD The temp on idle is around 27 degrees while under load is up to 47 degrees :)

t5046 1 point 19 months ago

That sounds alot more accurate. Thanks for sharing. Wish you the best with your new PC.

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks man! I would love to see your build soon :) It works great in my case. Its keeps my CPU, not overclocked, at around 33 degrees idle and around 70 under load.

t5046 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks for the quick reply. IMO thats a little too high for me whithout an OC. Although I cant think of anything I would need that could take advantage of an OC'd i5. I really might consider this cooler.

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

No problem :D Yeah its a bit high actually. Maybe Ill do some more test soon and compare the results. Id recommend this cooler, though the main reason I got them is for the looks :D

Omnislash89 5 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

I love color-themed builds! Very nicely done! Must look amazing with the lights off!!

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

It is man! :D Cant even help my eyes stare on it from time to time :3

ShutYourTrap 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

What desk is that? +1 for a great build (and the feature)

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks man! It is South Shore Interface Desk, Pure White. Got it through amazon on sale.

ShutYourTrap 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thank you!!

AustinHerzfeldt 6 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

How loud is that cpu cooler under load?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

If you really listen closely you can hear it spin. But its not that loud :)

quzar469 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

nice pictures and cable management, u have earned a plus 1 from me

Justiceinacan 4 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

Good choice for the case dood, Air 240 and 540 will be among my most favorites for a long time

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

Im with you! Im realy satisfied on getting this case :D

mcfcarter 2 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

Thant desk is WAY too CLEAN & SEXY!! +1

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

mcfcarter 2 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

I remember you! Great build!! love your desk and that sexy back plate!!

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks a lot man :)

sriramp777 1 point 19 months ago

Neatly organised and well built!! You really got some good patience!!

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

Somehow I managed to make it. But damn man it really takes time! :D

soundreaper 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

You should enter this setup into TechSource's Setup Wars! It's amazing!

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks man! I'm really thinking about it :3 But Idk if this will be featured there :D

soundreaper 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

I wouldn't doubt it buddy! This is such a clean build :D

arda1907 2 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

very nice build +1. how did you guess the lengths of the sleeved cables when you were ordering the parts ?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks man! I just estimated it actually. My advice is to just get the 30 cm to be safe. Because I ordered 20 cm for the cpu 4-pin and it almost went short XD

gamingpcpls 1 point 19 months ago

"first build" lol

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Its really true man. Believe it or not, it my first build :) Just got all the ideas for the build from watching vids from youtube (vids from TechSource, Linustechtips, and etc) and researching :D

GMAN-DV8 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Looks great man hope you like it

Gooberdad 8 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

Very clean. Nice job.

Thumbs up.

SirMints 2 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

So Clean. Great work putting this together.

arior 1 point 19 months ago

Absolutely beautiful work.

technobreakafobe 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Very satisfying cable management. Well done!

dk6640 1 point 19 months ago

Looks really nice man. My only complaint is the PSU. 650W is super freakin overkill for an i5 and a 960. You could have gotten away with a 450 or a 500. But other than that it looks nice.

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks man! :) I agree with you on that. Its just that at first, I planned on getting latest GPU. That's why I get a 650W. Later on I realize its hard to get those GPU on hand, so I just stick with the 960. Also, PSU was the first component I ordered coz that time it was on sale :3

gforce03 1 point 19 months ago

It looks beautiful. I'm trying to build for the first time as well. What's the purpose of all the case fans you have on your list?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Just be confident, I know you can also do it! :) It won't really affect the performance of the components significantly inside the case, I just put all of it for the looks :3 Though I would recommend to have a positive air flow inside your case :D

fzrif 1 point 19 months ago

Which fan pair did you use for the front case fan, the SP120 or AF120?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

I used the SP for the front. My thought process on what kind of fan will be used is that when your fan is getting air from an open space with no restrictions, like exhaust fans for you case, you use the AF (Air Flow). On the other hand, use SP (Static Pressure) when the fan is getting air from restricted environment, like pulling air through a screen filter, fans for CPU cooler and radiators. Hope this helps :)

sterr 1 point 19 months ago

Instead of buying the 2 pairs of memory, cold u have baught 1 pair of 2x 8GB ram sticks! You would have saved a few bucks but otherwise, super clean and good pc! Good Job! :))

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks man! :) Yeah for sure I would have saved a few bucks, I agree. But the reason I get the 4x4GB ram is for the looks :3

sterr 1 point 19 months ago

Is the corsair Air 240 good? I really consider it myself for my next pc! Would you recomend it?

-sterr

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

I will really recommend it! :) The case is really good, not only for the looks but also how the inside of the case is designed. From the fan filters all around the case to and removable conpartments inside. I also find it quite easy to build in though its my first time. Just be patient :3

RunawayOctopus 1 point 19 months ago

Gorgeous build, I may change over to a white case after seeing this! Absolutely marvelous cable management, it looks fantastically clean. Did you have to try and set things up before ordering the cords to know the length and clip orientation or do you just have a keen eye? Again, fantastic build; especially for your first one.

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

Thanks! :D I actually just estimated the lengths, and for the orrientation I just check the photos of the conponents I will be getting. But I would really recomment getting the 30 cm for everything to be safe, maybe except for the 24-pin since 20cm is enough in my case :)

RunawayOctopus 1 point 19 months ago

I've got the site where you got the cables bookmarked. It works fantastically since my PSU is fully modular. I'll lay it out and find my cable paths before I order most likely.

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

That great. Is the site ensourced.net? Just be sure bud if you will be getting just the cable extension or the full-length cable :)

RunawayOctopus 1 point 19 months ago

It is, yeah! I'll double check on that before I order. Thanks a ton.

RhettRO55 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Your cable management and tidiness of the entire case and desk area is just B-E-A-UTIFUL!!!

Ventrus 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Damn.

twinn 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Congrats on the feature. Beautiful build you have here.

Hellkitty 1 point 19 months ago

Nice build man!!! Like the color scheme.

Lif3 1 point 19 months ago

This is what i would define sexy as!

Warden_Of_The_North 1 point 19 months ago

Could this pc run modern games well? Seems like it could. Great build

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks! Indeed it will for sure :)

AustinHerzfeldt 6 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

What desk is that? It looks Ikea-like

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

I was really planning to buy an Ikea desk for this set-up but the shipping will cost me more than the desk Ill buy XD So instead I grab this, South Shore Interface Desk (Pure White) through amazon which on my time of purchase was on sale.

AustinHerzfeldt 6 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

Awesome thanks :D I might pick one up!

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Awesome! Would really recommend for it man :D

AustinHerzfeldt 6 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

Would it fit a 32" tv and a normal size case? (Corsair 400c)

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

For sure it would but maybe you'll find yourself too close to the large monitor screen given the width of the desk is only 19.5''. But it differs on preferences, maybe it wont bother you :D

Chuck38 3 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

Beautiful build! Fantastic cable work and great choice on parts. :D

+1

Are those little 80mm fans very noisy?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks man! :D Its not really noisy

LonghornAlamo2040 1 point 19 months ago

Very organized, clean build and setup. Very nice. I have to wonder why you went with the gtx 960 instead of the 1060? Not saying the 960 is a bad card-no, it's a decent card. But why?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks man! :) I totally agree with you on that. The reason behind it is on the description :3

LonghornAlamo2040 1 point 19 months ago

Oh, I didn't read it XD. Beautiful, yet simple rig. Has a bit of a dainty look which that design flows throughout the rig. You did a great job at being consistent!

+1

aran2001 1 point 19 months ago

That is beautiful, well done mate!

NerdyNemo 1 point 19 months ago

Amazing Build. I always find myself attracted to simple and clean things, especially when it comes to computer setup. So good on you man!

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

ImperiousBattlestar 1 point 19 months ago

Nice build, looks stunning. +1 :)

Scout1138 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Beautiful build, very nice work!! +1

ProxyTani 2 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

I love it. It's not easy to make one look good with white as the main color but this one is just superb.

matt3126 1 point 19 months ago

With all those fans how do you control the speed, did you power the fan header through the mobo or the PSU?

If you were to power it through the mobo wouldn't drawing all the power through the fan header possibly damage the mobo?

phikasa 1 Build 1 point 18 months ago

so pretty and clean! what kind of temps do you get with this?

catten 1 point 18 months ago

What extensions did you get specifically? I know you got the Ensourced ones and they look really nice but im kinda new to building pcs and I want to know what cables i have to buy. I am also planning to get the same power supply as you. Thanks and +1!

1rajveer1 1 point 17 months ago

Where did you get those white cables o:

Gravidi 1 point 17 months ago

Super sleek build! How did you get the GPU backplate? It is gorgeous!

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

I got it from v1tech

GreenHola 1 point 17 months ago

How did you connect all those fans! I must know!

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

I used a fan hub

patricktrask 1 point 17 months ago

WOW! THATS CLEAN! where did you get those cable combs tho?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Thanks! I got those from ensource

IBuildCompooters 1 point 17 months ago

+1

Do you mind if I use most of your parts for my build?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Thanks man. Its really fine

poxsii 1 point 17 months ago

May I ask how did you hide the CPU motherboard cable? Did you remove the hhd drive to access the hole directly above the motherboard cpu slot, or did you hide the wire behind the motherboard?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

I just run through the very top. I still used the cable holes on the middle or the case.

saulhviro 1 point 17 months ago

Wow, nice job man! Congrats for that beautiful rig! Im awful with cable management, do you know of a guide or tips? Ill appreciate it ;) btw, where can I buy that desk? im also building a white themed PC and would love to see mine in that desk :)

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

CraftyRam 2 Builds 1 point 15 months ago

Quick question, board said that it supports 2133mhz ram, but you are running 2400. Does this mean that you are only running it @ 2133? Beautiful build though!!!!

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

You're right

JoshPuyat 1 point 15 months ago

How well does this run overwatch?

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Its south shore furniture desk

Fork_and_Spoon 1 Build 1 point 15 months ago

HIGHLY recommend getting a different Mouse, For what you got going on here I would say a Corsair m65. Mainly because of it's higher quality sensor.

ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

I just bought logitech G502 for it. Thanks by the way :)

Fork_and_Spoon 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

:)

Seabassom 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Do you know if theirs a cup cooler like this for ryzen? Great build btw :)

Nabbergastics -2 points 19 months ago

Hey, nice build btw. Thinking about getting an Air 540 case but in silver for my self. But, I would just like to give you a fair warning about WD Blues. If you are planning on running games off of it be prepared for it to die within a year or so. I read that you are just doing DOTA 2 and some light games so it should be fine for your purpose, just thought I would give you a warning. If you are wondering, WD Black is the performance HDD and are only $70 or so, not too expensive at all.

Have a great day!

  • Nabber
ItsKehem submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 months ago

Thanks a lot man. Will keep it in mind. Its a good thing I saved the OS and games on SSD and used only the HDD for some other files :)

Nabbergastics 1 point 19 months ago

np, I am not sure if it will, just that i've had a Seagate Barracudda fail and a WD Green or blue, dont remember which. I am not sure how long the Black will last but it should last longer since it's the "performance" edition.
