Description

This is a budget build with future proof planned. The client ask me to make sure that it will be SLI-able later down the road. So I did just that.

Enjoys. Feel Free to ask any questions, Ill be happy to answer them.

Very nicely done at a really good price! I like the look of that mobo! Excellent pics, a couple more of the fully assembled interior minus the side panel would be awesome

Not bad. It's a good build, but I would've appreciated a better description. Either way, it still looks great.

This is a great build. The money is going to the right places and nothing is overspent on. I'm glad that you snagged a 970 board with good heatsinks!

Yeah, budget... with a 760 and an 8320.

I only High End around $1600 or so. This build is a future proof machine, therefore it is at ~900.

If the client ever does the SLI/CrossFire you mentioned, won't it be bottlenecked by the CPU, even though it's only a 760? Budget was so low :( !

It wont bottle neck at all as he already bought the second GPU.

Did you need to do a BIOS update prior to using that Vishera CPU?

  • 1 point

Did you need an older cpu to update the bios or were you able to do it with that cpu?

Awesome specs! Plus there, s some stuff similar to what I want to put in mine, lol. The only thing I can never understand is why people only do 8gb of ram in big builds like this [and other higher-end ones].

  • 1 point

8GB because my client only use this for school and LoL. He said more than that would be a waste.

Fair enough :)

cable management is great as you can see on the last picture. Dust cover is not too bad. I havent get any complain from my client.

it does. I tried it with another 760 I had. I called up Gigabyte and they help me sort it out.

Could you elaborate?

  • 1 point

what would you like to know?

  • 3 points

Well I own this mobo as well and its specs say it doesn't support SLI only Crossfire and even then the secondary PCIE slot is only 4X. So my question was.... how can it? And if it can..... isn't it going to run the secondary GPU slower anyway? (please excuse punctuation... my keyboard won't type commas for some reason)
