Description

I always wanted to have a gaming rig at home so I decided to build Blance for gaming purposes and work.

I intend to upgrade her soon into a complete water cooling set-up as soon as I got the time since R9 290 tends to warm up a bit. CPU and GPU are running in stock set-up but will soon OC it. I love the simplicity of Phanteks Case since it’s a full tower, its low price for a full tower and the whole case can be disassembled and modified (which I will). The RAM is amazing and OC to 1866 although I might add another 8GB even though 8GB is pretty much good for gaming. I was having hard time picking either getting NVIDIA GPU’s or AMD but end up AMD because of the price point and I’m happy that I did (Both GPU brands are good no doubt but I won’t get into debate which one is better than the other.) I’ll definitely add new monitors as soon as it’s on sale. Added more fans and went with Corsair SP and AF Quiet Edition and barely hear any noise from the fan. Samsung EVO SSD is dedicated for OS and major programs and HDD is for other programs such as gaming and will get another one and put in either Raid 1 or 0. The motherboard has everything I need which has OC tweakers and supports 3 crossfire but I just end up doing two only. The PSU is enough already to handle the whole build set-up and not to mention it’s fully modular which is great for cable management. To those who are OCD with cable management, it’s not the best arrangement yet so rest assure that I will sort it out.

I’ll do an update once I finalized Blance 2.1 setup. Happy Gaming!

Beautiful build! How was the Enthoo Pro? Was it easy to build in, I'm keen to get one myself, but a bit iffy. But it sure does look amazing for it's price point.

The case is simple and beautiful. :) If your planning modifying the whole case, its the perfect case simply because you can disassemble it and putting it back is easy too. I'm planning to paint her with my own designs. Also its $100 only which is amazing with windows in it. Building with it was easy and they put a lot of type screws, Velcro ties in one manageable box and the manual was easy to read as a guide. The outer box also display all the description of types of fans that can be fit and radiator size which made it easy for me to validate. :) Also change the stock fan that comes with it. It was nice but it was a bit loud for me. lol hope that helps. :)

Which Fan was loud? I just ordered the Enthoo Luxe, came in yesterday. (Holy crap this thing is bigger than I thought!) The 200 mm fan in the front is ginormous.

yes its huge fan. lol however i replace mine with SP quiet version. Also in the stock fan, its the back is much more louder than the front one. Maybe because i crank it up really high back then. But if it's in auto fan from your mobo then you wont hear it much in my opinion.

Those cards must run so loud with just the Windforce cooling on them!!!! in Crossfire :(((

At first, I thought it will be but surprisingly its not that loud at all. Maybe because I'm using headphones but even still, without the headphones its not that loud at all if the gpu cranked up its usage. However, I'm more concern of the heat so I'll do liquid cooling for both of them for sure.

i would wait for the 390 or 390x, they ~5% better than the gtx 980 and has a ~180 tdp

What are the temps? I have my h100 same setup as you, but don't know about the 3rd single fan uptop. I imagine it would suck the hot air in from the rad and feed it back into the radiator again.
