Description

The system is mostly for gaming with some video editing and programming on the side. I spent a few months researching and eventually decided on this. Originally I was going to get a 3770k but just decided on the 4770k because of a friend's recommendation. I didn't plan on getting an SSD but I decided to pick one up at a local store at the last minute. I know I could of gotten some of this stuff at a cheaper price but I wanted to get most of my items from the same place which happened to be Newegg, and money wasn't much of an issue either as I had saved up quite a bit for this system. I got a wireless card because my modem/router are in a different room from where I was setting up at, I plan on moving it near the system for direct ethernet connection soon. 16GB of ram, because hey, why not. I've got much more power than I need, but I may add a second Radeon HD 7970 for crossfire in the future. I went with Windows 7 because I'm not a fan of Windows 8 at all. Wasn't sure as to what monitor and keyboard to go with so I winged it with the keyboard, and decided to go with a 24" Asus monitor, I don't have much desk space for it but I'm satisfied with what I ended up getting. Everything runs great and I've not had any problems yet. Will add more pictures soon.

To those downvoting, wouldn't it be more prudent to just wait? Ask for more info and then decide. This is a nice parts selection. If the OP doesn't bother filling in the blanks, then fine. But I'm more inclined to give someone the benefit of the doubt and wait a day and see what they say.

i understand your point to but spending anytime on this site you learn that if you plan to post a build a few pics are a must

You assume that he's been on the site for a while. Lots of people find the site, get excited and want to share their build, and don't know about the unwritten "rules" that some people abide by.

Maybe adding a note to the build posting page would help alleviate this.

My concern is scaring people away. If someone is really enthusiastic and posts a build like this, they might well never come back if "regulars" attack their build for reasons they don't know about.

You could've saved a hella ton more money by just buying from the cheapest sites.
