Description

My first ever build with custom front panel. Wish there is more options for AMD FM2 socket motherboard. I heard other motherboard such as ASRock has heating problems and worst case some blew up. By far this is the right motherboard.

Faster ram will do much better in terms of graphics, but I like it! Gj mate

Exactly what I came to say. I would have gone with at least 1866 ram when using an APU. Still not a bad build at all. You should also think about hybrid crossfire with an HD6770 if you need more graphics muscle. I've never seen someone try to fit the Hyper 212 EVO into a mini ITX build before. Was that hard to get in?

I forget where, but I read it's not that bad with the Bitfenix Prodigy

Honestly, I'm just suprised it fits.

yes i will try crossfire with 6670 but not now. the hyper 212 evo fits just nicely and still has space for a fan on top of it. it was hard however screwing it to the cpu because the spring is bit hard

he can just overclock the ram, and since timings aren't so crucial anymore, you can run 1866 with CAS11 no issues, i got my 1600 up to 1942 before it wouldn't boot, and to be honest, i didn't notice much difference, now with an APU it might be different.

i did try it goes up to 4 ghz using the OC genie. Im new to this still has lots to learn about overclocking.

OC Genie is helpful.

You don't really need to overclock it anymore than 4.0 GHz.

Nice rig.

i heard the 5800 can get up to somewhere around 5.4 on all 4 cores, and something crazy like 7.6 on i think it was 2 cores.

Is the OC genie II stable with the new Richland APUs? Would overclocking with this motherboard work with an AMD 6800k?

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite store on the Citadel.

Damn that's a sweet M-ITX case

Only thing about the Prodigy case is that I heard the "feet" are flexible so if it is in area that can be bumped ot non-solid table, it can rattle a bit. Have you found that to be the case?

yes, i put mine under the table for safety. The top handles are a concern too, be careful bringing it around as the case gets heavy

How much memory were you able to allocate to the IGPU in the A10-5800k
