Description

This build started off as something totally different. I had originally planned to use a G3258, Z87-G45, and R9 280, but the mb and gpu both had to be returned due to failure. Besides that, the fans have super weak leds and the case itself was an absolute nightmare to work with. This was also my first time using a TX3 cooler and I didn't really like it. While it helped save money, I'd suggest spending the extra $10 and get a 212 Plus or Evo. Eventually I will overclock and push it to the max.

cpu/mobo: Microcenter combo deal. Cost after rebate

cpu cooler: Again, spend the extra $ and get better.

ram: Mcafee/Pny bundle. Price after $90 in rebates. Was a risk, but received both.

hdd: Bought 4 at once from Quill.com. Used $100 off $200 coupon code to bring price down.

psu: Price after rebate. Seasonic oem psu.

OS: Home was same as Professional so I chose Professional

case fans: Cooler Master fan came in 4 pack. Kingwin fans priced after rebate. Will not buy again.

Case: Bought for the price. Will not buy Ultra again more than likely. Case was terrible to work with.

gpu: I've never worked with VisionTek before. Card went on sale for $119.99 at TigerDirect. They also had a $10 off $100 promo going so it was a no brainer to get it for $110. Ended up grabbing two. Not sure what color I'll do the next one!

Thank you! sidemicro.com is where I buy W7 Professional. They are a certified seller and are prompt at delivering the key as long as it's Monday-Friday.

Well it does, but for some reason I want to chew on it. Looks like gum.

Yeah I wasn't thrilled with how it turned out. I wanted to get plasti dip, but the hardware store I went to was out so I bought Rust-Oleum that was labeled good for plastic. I'll just wait next time to find the right paint so it looks better.
