Description

This is my first water cooling build, i'm working on this project for months. On some pictures exposure is bad and power supply looks orange, but is red. White PSU? Why? Because under the red LED lighting looks great, it can be see on picture.

CPU is set to 4.8 @1.312v, and gpu 1500/7600 (max 1550/8000). 3DMark total score ~24000 GPU score ~41000 Result link: http://i.imgur.com/6VoGmUO.png

Awesome build man love the custom loop! Also dont pay attention to anyone who says "y no 1080?!?!" the hype for the 1080 is getting cancerous, 2 980ti's are more than enough to demolish games in 4k.

  • 2 points

especially when the 1080s sold out within minutes on Amazon, Newegg and Best Buy

Every time I see a build with a custom loop looking this good, it pushes my "want" a custom loop closer to "need". Looks amazing! +1

  • 1 point

Great tube work! And that PSU looks wonderful in the dark.

I'm not brave enough for a custom loop, but I would take a cue or two from your build if I were.

  • 1 point

Great build! +1. I am also about to build my first custom water cooled rig. I've got everything in the cart including the 980 ti's. I'm waiting till at least pre-orders for the 1080's before I buy the GPU's.

Solid build here, congrats!

From the link - "The official launch of the GPU is May 27, but big vendors such as Newegg, Best Buy and Amazon anticipated the high demand and made it available via preorder"

Have you tried white leds? The rig kinda looks too evil and scary with red leds :P

Great build! You probs should have waited another month tho :/ the new 1080's are supposed to be out soon, and about the same price as the 980's. 1 1080 is supposed to be better than SLI 980's (not SLI 980 Ti's though :D). But thats me being picky. I could never do a build like this XD great with the color scheme to by the way! That's the good thing about those MSI 980's, it looks really cool! +1 from me ;)

Problem is my 4790k, that cpu does not use the full potential of 2 way 980ti.... I bought gpus at the beginning of the year, and its too long wait for the 1080 water block design and "board partners" cards.... Im from Croatia, where hardware cost much more.. For example msi 980 ti cost 1000$, samsung evo 250 130$. 1080 will be expensive in my country , and more than 980T. My next upgrade will be in 2018, Nvidia Volta and Intel Cannonlake :)

  • 1 point

lol, it can be really hot.. mid 50 °C hehe :)

  • 1 point

I'm hoping honestly to do a loop like that, did you use PETG? and if so what fittings did you choose?

  • 1 point

Yes PETG 16mm, i use EK-HDC Fitting 16mm.... large tubing look much better (my opinion) more powerful :D

  • 1 point

Awesome!

  • 1 point

Why the 2x 250gb ssds?

  • 2 points

Because first i bought one ssd...im not bulid Rig at once ...then i bought second and put it in RAID 0, much better then one 500gb ssd

  • 1 point

Ahh, I see now

  • 1 point

Can I borrow your temps? My air cooled rig is so jealous right now. Amazing build!

  • 1 point

Awesome build right here :) Congratz man

  • 1 point

What was your experience with this liquid rig? Was it difficult? Did it meet up to your expectations in terms of difficulty to assemble?

  • 1 point

Bending is not hard (not for me), but hit the right angles....that is tricky! Because it is my first custom water cooling build, I did not expect such great, almost perfect Rig :) You must really to think hard when you choosing components , in some situations I have clearance 1-2 millimeters (pump tank-GPUs, tubing from pump to GPU terminal, tubing from CPU block to top radiator...and more)

can it play minesweeper?

They're mainly knowned for being a top notch oem, who also make deals for other company's psu, famously now, Evga's g2 and p2 series.

Yes you don't really see them in the market though

What a cool liquid air conditioner!

  • 1 point

Love this build! I personally think a black PSU would look better though under the red LEDs because in my opinion the white looks out of place.

  • 1 point

Believe me, I am a perfectionist :) I planned painted PSU in black, but before I decided to see what it looks like, and looks perfect. My room is always dark, and white power supply glows red, you can see in the picture. I worked for hours, thinking for days ... and I would not let something looks "out of place". Pictures can not really show how it looks "in live"

What?! A FreeSync monitor with 2 980ti.. (asian face) silly

  • 1 point

heheheh, i understand.... My previous build was two 390x, and didnt change monitor because my wallet is so empty right now :D I fall in love when I see Predator X34

Now that right there is some damn fine tube routing; something I can appreciate.

Only tip i have is hide all those cables on the outside so it doesnt look like a monster is coming up from behind your desk and MAYBE drill holes in your desk for the mouse and keyboard cable to go through

Two 980 ti... Holy Crap! Have you done a Steam VR test yet? Would love to hear the results! Enjoy your monster PC!

im pretty sure he chose the 980's over the 1080's because it would be about a year before the partner cards are released and if you translate the cost of the 1080's from american to Canadian its about 250ish dollars more but i see what your saying :P

  • 1 point

Does nobody remember that water blocks don't come out for about a time period of 6 months AFTER the release of the cards?

people behave like I yestareday buy 980Ti...and why can I be so stupid... Cooling is last what im done...

  • 3 points

best part is, only a year ago 980ti's were all the hype, now people are acting as if it is a piece of crap card just cuz the 1080 is the new card.

  • 0 points

People who doesnt have high end PC, or GPU think in that "strange way". I really do not care if I have 160 or 150 FPS on 75HZ monitor. People also think that the 980Ti is much weaker than 1080.
