Description

I wanted to upgrade from a Samsung laptop to use mostly for gaming and schoolwork. I got most of the parts at a local microcenter except for the RAM and the GPU, with those I was able to get free 2-day shipping.

*Since the initial build I've added some more fans and led's, as well as an old 250Gb laptop hard drive just for separate storage

Good budget build @ $500, well done on that. I would change the orientation of that hyper 212 90 degrees so its not dealing with the heat coming off the GPU. congrats on your first budget build +1

Thanks, I set up the 212 so it blows onto the guy and and use another fan on the side of the case to blow the air from both the guy and the 212 outward. In my head it should work but if not I'll rotate it.

Its a combo deal at microcenter. You get the fx6300 and the mobo(free) for 109.99

Microcenter has an in-store combo deal with certain parts.

How well does that card run games?

This cpu cooler is mounted wrong, it now blows all the air into the case, i recommend turning it 90 degrees and put the fan on the right side so it blows cool air through the heatsink and your rear case fan blows the hot fan out of the case.

Nice update - good job flipping the 212 evo and also good job adding another 120 for a push/pull config. Nice!

Also new pictures the old ones were taken with a potato
