Description

Hello PCPartPicker community. I wanted to share this project with you all that I have been working for the last six months or so. This is a home theater gaming PC I am calling the HT Box 2.0. This projected is a successor to my first HTPC build the HT Box One that was a HTPC I build a couple of years ago inside of an Xbox one housing: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/rfdXsY The most unique part of the build is the case which I designed myself. It is made out of matte black ¼” acrylic that was cut out using a laser cutter. It took several revisions before I was able to get everything to line up perfectly but I am really happy with the results. The panels are held together using 12mm cubes that are threaded on all sides and the feet on the bottom of the case were 3d printed. The right side of the case houses the motherboard, storage and power supply and is designed for the CPU cooler to pull air from the top of the case and exhaust it through the side and back. The left side of the case holds the GPU and is elevated slightly to allow for air to be pulled from the bottom of the case and exhausted out of the left side of the case. I also 3d printed a bracket to help support the GPU and prevent it from sagging.

If you are interested in the assembly of this PC check out this video: https://youtu.be/osb4gdtFYEo

Same, it is hard to find small form factor/itx cases these days that arent expensive. Its a pretty awesome looking case though. Great build!

Amazing build! Just wondering, I was planning to build a custom HTPC case as well, what software did you use to design it? Awesome build again +1

Do be sure you're on the latest BIOS because it fixes DOCP issues with the X470-I and B450-I.

Also, use "Performance Enhancer" Level 1 to get proper boost behavior.

Badass build! What's the length on the case? I would get a thin pelican case and make this bad boy a travel PC lol! Love what you did
