Description

I built this PC for a future-proof gaming machine that will try to max out most AAA games on Ultra on my 144 Hz monitor. My favorite games to play right now include Overwatch, The Witcher 3, GTA V, Fallout 4, and WoW.

I went a little overboard on the PSU in case I want to overclock with an SLI build later on.

Fire Strike 1.1 Score out of box (Factory OCed): http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12595482

Update: I tried disabling my 2nd monitor and got slightly better results: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/12597141

Hey how does the gpu perform? Thinking of picking it up

Very well so far. Haven't even overclocked it past the factory settings and it's sitting at close to 2000 MHz.

I've only played Overwatch so far and it's sitting between 135 and 180 fps

Can you tell please, how noisy is this card? I'm planning to buy it soon so i really want to know ^^

It's completely silent. Even on 70% fans I can barely hear it if I put my ear next to the case lol.

Similar to my build, lookin good! How do you like the FTW? What kind of temps. I got the Asus and it's been running cool despite the rumors.

Love it. Temps are in the mid 60s on full load with a slightly more aggressive fan curve than the default.

isn't a GTX 1080 overkill for 1080p gaming I was going to pair mine with a 2560x1440 or maybe a 4k

Probably not worth it at 1080p@60Hz. If you're playing at 144Hz, it's definitely worth it in my opinion.

Hi,

is the FTW-Logo color not changeable, does it only shine in blueish color?

Greetings +1

The color is fully customizable in the PrecisionX software.

Have you OC'd the card yet?

Nicely done. Quick question.

What do you think about the case? somewhere i saw a review shaming that there was no psu filter. whats your opinion?

  • 2 points

I don't think there's any need for a PSU filter since it's optimized to be an exhaust fan going out the right side. The fans on the front of the case have a filter and should be the only ones pulling air in.

I can't believe you bought windows 10. You could just buy a 4GB USB drive which is only $5.00 USD and install it.

This is how you install.
