Pics all taken from a GS3

Built for my mother, who wanted no OC, and the possibility to upgrade card sometime in the future but that was all she felt capable of doing without me around.

She wanted a decent gaming computer, with the ability to do video conferencing. Figured this would do alright for the budget. Went with the 660 for it's performance for dollar comparatives. Though now wonder how a 7870xt would have done...

Feel like I should have gotten a better price on the CPU, Mobo, GPU, ad PSU but they're about average price, or that I could have gone AMD for better prices on the CPU, and Mobo for a budget build. I've only recently been disabused of the notion that intel cpu's are the trump of the entire generation though for gaming.

So yeah.. overall feel in the end I could have probably tweeked things to be better, but quite proud of what I've accomplished for only my second build.

That's a pretty darn cost-efficient PC you've got there, and the parts are well done. I would have done the RAM differently, but that's a negligible detail. Thumbs up.

What more do you need? I like it. Its a straight forward mid-level performer, well done sir, well done.

Canadian, but terribly British family. Showed my mum the comment she was delighted by the recognition.

Lmfao you must have a pretty awesome mom if you actually spent 800$ to get her a gaming computer...for real? I don't think any other mom would even consider that lol

Oh no, she paid for it. She's somebody who (previously :P) would spend $2000-$3000 on a computer from Dell, or HP, or somesuch. Basically showed her that I could build her something just as good (or better...) for less than half.

You must still have a pretty awesome mom for something like this! My mom is content with any computer that can run the basics efficiently >.>
