Description

This Build is just another enthusiast build because it is the area where it is not too overkill or too slow to even run the latest titles. All of these prices are from Newegg. The list will say that the motherboard will need to be updated but the system works just fine. If you use Corsair Link on the water cooler well if the Corsair link software needs a update sometimes it crashes Windows so the system needs to restart but this happens rarely. The system takes a long time to post but after post it is not a problem. There is ASUS Aura and it is on the motherboard and also has a Aura led strip port. Testing of the CPU and GPU temps was as the stress test AIDA 64 Extreme and EVGA Precision XC to monitor the GPU temps. Also keep in mind that the temps were tested in a room with two servers running all the time so the temps may be a little bit higher.

Why would you build a Broadwell-E PC when Ryzen exists?

Its not like its a bad chip, but yeah, the ryzen chips are better for the money

Maybe he just wanted an Intel chip. Ryzen still needs some stability updates too.

There's been a lot of firmware updates since its release.

It's pretty stable, now.

This was built before Ryzen existed also skylake on the other hand was too expensive for my budget. Also if anyone was going to ask about Kabylake well as I said it didn't exist. I just posted later because at first I did not want to post this

I see that you have there a LPX 64gb (4x16) with the Asus ROG mobo. Is it generally a neglected practice when building a pc for not going with a set of memory stick under QVL?

Sometimes but I found that this combo works but also I need more RAM because I do virtualization with VMWare Workstation so run my VM’s with higher RAM amounts and more cores

Well for the time that I posted this build you have people with i7-7700k’s and GTX 1080 Ti’s. So at time of posting this is mid-range
