Description

A great machine for gaming in a small form factor. I have two Corsair SP Performance Edition Fans mounted in the front as intake and a single Corsair SP Fan mounted as intake in the rear of the case next to the power supply. I have a Corsair AF quiet edition set as exhaust in the top of the case.

I have an XFX Radeon RX 480 tuned by XFX to 1328 Mhz. The new radeon crimson driver to limit PCI-E draw is also installed so i'm good to go. I have set the target temperature up to 90 degrees C and upped the power limit to the max amount in order to maintain the core gpu clock. I will eventually add a second card.

It's fine but takes some tuning to keep the marketed base clock of 1328

So you are one of the lucky guys that actually got one before they all sold out. I'm envious...

you see amd community of buyers wants the card for use while nvidia users resold their cards

Thus stating many buyers of nvidia 10 series card were just in it for money ;~;

"and upped the voltage to the max amount"

Please tell me you meant to say power limit!

Otherwise, great build! That ram is luxurious :D!

+1 hows that cpu cooler been treating you? i'm kinda considering it for a build i'm planning

It does alright I don't over clock though but you certainly won't thermal throttle. Not as good as a rear blowing one though. Or whatever you call the standard ones.

Air cooler tower like the Cryorig H7?

You have so much room for a liquid AIO though. Why not just get an H80 or 100? Heck, could even get the H5 SF

H5 sf only fits itx. I got two fury x in there now. So I'd have to figure it out.

I've got two fury xs now. I have no more mounting points for something like that. I'll just wait for cooler masters new water cooler to come out

just to update u. i removed the hard drive mounts in the rear of the case. and snuck a radiator back there. used an eisbaer solo and fed the loop through the back. took a lot of finagling. its technically a custom loop.

Does your case fit for another card?

  • 1 point

Yes I can crossfire as soon as I can afford the second card. The second will probably be aftermarket honestly because I have to really tune watt man to get it to stay at the marked 1328 clock. Probably an xfx double dissipation black edition .

Nice build. Does the Cryorig CPU cooler block any of the ram slots? I have the same motherboard.

Not at all its a nice little square Doesn't block a thing

How are your CPU temps with the C7?

  • 1 point

37 to 41 idle. I turned on furmark cpu burner and i got 60c with cpu fan at full bore. then on turbo settings it was at 64c after aobut 10 minutes. 67c with standard settings. It will probably make a difference if you have high room temps. 70c on silent mode. Using AI suite 3. but it wont be that hot on any mode in actual games plus im in a MATX.

Thanks man, I'm thinking about putting this in an office PC that will occasionally run CPU intensive tasks.
