Description

This is my first ever pc build. need suggestions on a name. possibly something Horde related. I did a lot of research on parts and such for months. The cpu i ordered was actually the i5-6700k but amazon sent me the i7-7700k . no complaints. I'm still waiting to buy a monitor that'll actually use all this performance, but that'll have to wait for another mid-month pay, when all my bills are paid and such. I mainly wanted to future-proof this build for quite some time, since it costed quite a bit so i'd save for a while and buy the parts i wanted.

I'm no photographer so pardon me if the pictures are crap.

For being my first build i still feel it went relatively quick to actually assemble it, but enjoyable so i wish i could do it again or had the money to build another one.

I went with white and black to keep it relatively simple. i don't have a desk that'll really display the pc itself so having flashy colors was kind of needless. The Stickers were made at work with our Gerber machines. Clearly I'm for the Horde. and the other i stole from my buddy. we can always make more.

As for performance, this thing is a monster, i overclocked it and the cpu wouldn't rise above 60 degrees. i don't keep it overclocked for gaming, its pretty needless for what I'm currently playing. I keep it on the "Gaming" setting on GPU tweaker 2 and still average about 150fps on overwatch. its everyday use is fast as well, no lag loading videos or sites, i can listen to music while i game and have a guide or some other webpage open without effecting anything. Overall I'm extremely happy with this build.

Looks great! How much fps do you gain in 1080p at ultra?

with a GTX 1080 I'd imagine a he could get well over 150 at 1080p.

on the heaven 4 benchmark i got a max of 270fps with a 148 average without overclocking. with overclocking (not to the highest setting) i got a max fps of 304fps and an average of 162. and it kept its gpu temperature below 60

Nice clean build! One question, Why go with the z107 board instead of the z207 with the 7700k?

The Motherboard was one of the first things i bought, about a month before i bought the rest of the parts. it was before i knew that much about the different motherboards and stuff. also the 7700k wasn't the chip i ordered lol. i ordered the i5-6700k but they sent me that. needless to say the motherboard will probably be the first to get updated.
