New Work Station / Enthoo Evolv ATX

by rjyapp

Description

New work station that I've been waiting to put together.

I know the Enthoo Evolve ATX is like a mythical unicorn in that its distribution to the US has been very slow. I wanted to get some pictures online to really show off the case since I don't think the next batch will arrive until September.

It is by far the best case I have ever built in and its by far the best looking build I've done.

Also as requested by some I included a picture to show how I mounted the LED control panel. I removed the expansion plate and used some existing screw holes to install it from an SSD bracket in the back. It was almost a perfect fit.

Couldn't be happier with it.

Make me wish I would have waited for that Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ATX case to drop..

Very NICE Build..

Went with very similar part selection for my Deadpool build..

Asus SABERTOOTH X99 for the WIN !!

iamawolfe 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

Beautiful! I've been going back and forth for my upcoming build. I have the mini ITX version of this in my current parts list, but damn it every time I see a build with this case it makes me change my mind.

How big is this case? I need a banana for scale.

Regardless, it's a great build.

Ralphort 2 Builds 2 points 43 months ago

Nice pc build. Cable management is superb. Very clean.

MrEthernopian 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

This is SO clean. Reminds me of Terminator. Wicked steel build. have my +1

MrEthernopian 1 Build 0 points 43 months ago

I knew this would be a feature build. Congrats!

Love seeing people hop onto the Sabertooth line. +1 for a fellow Sabertooth X99 Owner! :)

Twaxinator 2 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

Awesome build, and what lighting are you using?

rjyapp submitter 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

I used these LEDs.

They are a great alternative to using the sticky led strips, and they are controllable to a degree.

Twaxinator 2 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks man. I really like the way that looks. I might pick me up some. Lol

staffsMike 1 point 43 months ago

I hadn't done a build for a while before I got my EVOLV (mATX). I had ordered a nanoxia but it was awful and went back and I was bowled over by the quality of it and I can't sing its praises enough from the quality of stock fans, the fan controller, the thought and attention to detail, the thickness of the aluminium. Perfect case IMO.

Your build looks great, first time I have seen a build in the full ATX

PytSkee 1 point 43 months ago

This is a seriously beautiful machine.

austinfett 2 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

My only complaint is that (i believe) the USB cable to the front of the case is under the GPU power cable but going up.

PacificNic 4 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

That's a beautiful case/build +1

Ogl 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Nice to see someone else finally post a build using the Evolv ATX version of the case, lovely clean build. Just wondering why didn't you mount the radiator at the top? Here is my build using that brilliant case https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/Zgf8TW

spud8385 1 point 41 months ago

I wondered this. Technically it's pulling in cool air which is better, but sometimes the pump struggles in this config?

ChrisMaC718 1 point 43 months ago

my Evolv case comes in today. From the looks of your(which is a dope build btw) im excited about my upcoming build

rchar081 2 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

You should name it the terminator. Seriously reminds me of that.

Edit: LOL someone already said that. Name Confirmed.

WaterTriber 1 point 43 months ago

nice job on getting featured! +1 from me

I want your Unicorn !!

Pstolwpdsnoman 2 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

"Mythical unicorn" indeed. I've looked high and low for one under $200. Congrats on the build looks great!

I knew I should have payed more attention in 5th grade.

Very nice build, and those pics look super clean. I have to say I love that case, but the X99 Sabertooth is making me cry. I wish AMD boards got that level of love from manufacturers, I have the 990FX Sabertooth 2.0 and it pales in comparison to the beauty in your case. Thank you for sharing this awesome build!

convertedconsolegamer_92 2 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

All black everything/ black board black fans/ All black everything.

KnightOwl 1 point 43 months ago

Looks great! The real surprising thing to me is that GPU though; it's such a disparity from everything else power wise.

lha_luke 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Looks mean and clean, excellent work!

VonKessler 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Very "Terminator"-esque. Love it! I would really like to make my next build look like this. Only think I would change is the GPU.

breakerion 2 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

There's something sexy about all dark theme that I can't describe, AWESOME!! cheers and Enjoy!

canebarbone 3 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

sick build! wow! I am madly in love with the evolv and your color scheme is so intimidating!

I suppose this is a working rig and the 960 is thrown in for some light gaming on the side?

rjyapp submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks! that is correct though I do have a gaming machine and I have been considering throwing in its 970 into this rig.

ShadowGaming93 1 point 43 months ago

congrats on pcpp featured build!!!!!!!!!

ThePickleCat 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

this is a work of art

skemble 24 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

I REALLY like this. The "industrial" color design with white LED contrast is outstanding. The parts are top notch and everything looks great!

danieltoruno 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

I'd like to know where the NZXT LEDs are being powered from in your PC build. Like if you could pinpoint the location where they are plugged in at xD. Amazing build and congrats on featured!!

rjyapp submitter 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

I've added a picture to show how the LED board is attached to the case.

danieltoruno 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thank you! :D

danieltoruno 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Your build has actually convinced me to switch motherboards from the ASUS X99 Duluxe to the TUFF. I will probably be modding it to paint the thermal armor white when I get it! But you helped me realize how much of a solid mobo this one is!

PumpSome 1 point 43 months ago

Wow. That is beautiful and powerful. Couldn't have chosen better parts myself. Great job. The only problem is that you make me jealous that I don't have it.

Doofus47 1 point 43 months ago

this looks sick. Bad part is Windows 10 Windows 8.1 i think at the moment is a tad more Value for money (windos media plawa)

falcon360 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

very good work. is there a reason you did not use the motherboard fan? I have the same motherboard and the fan is a bit noisy for sure.

rjyapp submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

You said it yourself, the fan just generates to much noise to be worth using.

BezeL 1 point 43 months ago

Very nice build!

I will use this case on my build. Just curious ,could you tell me what temps do you have? Does only three fans are enough? I'm planning to use 6700k ,H110i GTX & 980 Ti AMP Extreme and I will probably put two additional fans on top.
I'll post my build too when its done :)

PS: Sorry if my English is bad ,it's not my first language.

giocarlo 1 Build 1 point 41 months ago

Just curious, man. I've read a lot about the 980 ti Strix GPU sagging. Did you experience similar sag issues?

khamanthony 1 Build 1 point 41 months ago

Hey! Just wanted to say you have a beautiful build. In fact, you helped influenced the build I completed and gave you some credit in my description :)

16TTek 1 point 39 months ago

nice pc the 5820k is probably one of intels best price to performance cpu!

moon261 1 Build 1 point 39 months ago

Is that front radiator fan pull or push? Thanks!

rjyapp submitter 1 Build 1 point 32 months ago

Its both, its a push pull config. It have 3 120s in the front and two 120s on the back of the radiator.

rjyapp submitter 1 Build 1 point 32 months ago

its dual. Its got fans on both sides for maximum airflow.

maxx189 1 point 37 months ago

Amazing build!

How are your temps with the only intakes fans pushing through a rad ?

I might go with the same case but with the EKWB predator 240.

rjyapp submitter 1 Build 1 point 32 months ago

Its actually a push pul config in the front with three 120 along the front to pump air in. With that said I hardly ever have temps exceed 50c under heavy load.

SwagMaster02 1 point 36 months ago

What LED do you use?

enmatte 1 point 35 months ago

Does the red LED also come from the NZXT strip or something else?

rjyapp submitter 1 Build 1 point 32 months ago

Red led comes from the board to indicate errors. The OS had yet to be installed so thats why it was showing an error.

daohaus 2 Builds 1 point 32 months ago

Looking at your build, makes we wished I had got a 240 radiator instead. I want to front mount my radiator to suck in cool outside air but my radiator is too big. Your build looks awesome

rjyapp submitter 1 Build 1 point 32 months ago

Thanks! I've made a few upgrades so I will be posting new pictures soon.

If it's as good as the AMD Sabertooth variant, I'm sure it's very good. I have the 990FX Sabertooth and I absolutely love it. Very nice UEFI Bios, overclocking is a breeze and the board has a lot of really nice features. And Intel boards always get more love from manufacturers, so I'm sure this board is an absolute beast.

[comment deleted by staff]
rjyapp submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

So far so good, Haven't had any issues with the moba, but I will update if I run into any problems.

alexgames 2 points 43 months ago

a 960?

rjyapp submitter 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

Its a work station primary, but I might throw in my gaming rigs 970 to make it a more complete monster.

alexgames 0 points 43 months ago

i was jw why a 960 lol looks nice and expensive

sponix 6 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

Asus X99 SABERTOOTH is a Monster of a Board.

Just make sure you have both hands free if you need to lift it due to its weight !!

[comment deleted by staff]
TechyinAZ 14 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

That would be pretty sad if that mobo was poop, since it's a TUF board.
