Description

I recently got back into PC gaming from when I had to quit back in 2010 when my computer broke during a move from Arizona to Ohio. I just built this PC a couple weeks ago and would love feedback on anything I could do better or if I did something right. This is my first build I have ever done so I feel somewhat accomplished for pulling it off. Anyway I overclocked the CPU to run at 4.7 GHz and my GPU is overclocked to run at 2109 GHz. So far it has been stable. I have been playing The Division, WoW, and Overwatch on max settings at 4k and it has been extremely smooth so far. Anyway I would appreciate any feedback from anyone!

My wife actually moved from LA to Toronto 4 years ago, our trip was successful. Just make sure to take out GPU and RAM, and package those seperately. The rest of the components you can leave it. Stuff the chassis innards with clothing/bubblewrap, and wrap the outside with bubble wrap/more clothes.

For a budget liquid cooled route a great choice would be the corsair H60 of H80i. I have the H80i and its's great. But they only have a one fan radiator so if you want to fill out your case go with the
H100i V2 or the H100i GTX. There is only a slight temperature decrease though so but categories are good.

Nice! If you're running a machine with those kinds of specs, I would definitely recommend at least moving up to a 144 hz monitor though. They can be a bit pricy, but the sheer difference is almost like moving up a whole strata in GPU's

Also, I'd probably throw a more intense cooler onto your CPU. Should be helpful in the long-run for the amount of heat the OC 6700k's going to be producing. All in all, nice work!

remember that he's playing at 4k, with a single 1080 max fps are 50-70 at 4k, he should be fine with a 4k monitor @60fps

I appreciate the feedback. I will definitely look into a better CPU cooler. Any recommendations for one?

Fantastic 1st Build! That monitor is a fantastic choice for the 1080 since it has G-Sync. The only recommendation I have is to look into upgrading the CPU cooler, but that is just being nit picky.

Thanks, I will probably upgrade the that in the near future. Any recommendations for one?

Depends on whether you wish to overclock, aesthetics and if you want a silent PC. The Dark Rock Pro 3 is one of the best CPU coolers for mild overclockers that still want a silent build. While an AIO water cooler such as the H115i or Kraken X61 will be for extreme overclocking, but at the cost of louder fans.

Very clean build, man and loving the colored-theme; looks great! What do you think of the 6700k? I built my current build right before they released the Skylake CPU's and hoping my impatience doesn't bite me in the a$$!

It has been phenomenal so far. The only PC I could really compare it to since I have been out of the PC gaming world for about 5 years is my old Alienware ALX. Everything runs extremely smooth so far. I certainly don't have any complaints

My PC was sitting in a moving truck for almost 2 weeks for a move from Texas to Ohio before it saw the light of day again. I was scared as hell it would get damaged haha.

I'll be moving it again next month when I move closer to the city. sweating intensifies

Yeah so far they are running everything perfect! I certainly can't complain. I might look into a 1080 SLI once battlefield 1 nears release.
