Description

Well not much to say. The build came in around 1.1k for my friend. I must say though, I did a much better job with cable management on this build than my first on in the 650D.

Overall I believe that it will make a great mid-range gaming machine. The powersupply does get much hotter than the AX750 I use in my primary system, but the fan does a good job of keeping it cool.

Why 4 x 2 GB ram instead of 2 x 4 GB?

It should be 2x4, but 4x2 would provide better performance as you have two sets of dual channel memory running.

I think that lady was mad for taking her picture upside down, they usually look at you that way when you have fallen off the bed ;)

Should've gotten a 7870 XT. About the same price.

As much as I agree with this they're out of stock everywhere and sapphire and even powercolor don't seem to like to supply the demand they take like a month to re-stock stores and when they do it's only like a day or two before they're out of stock again.

Yeah. Which is kind of disappointing.

Thank you for posting all the pictures upside down. It is a great mid-range build, but for a few more you might have been able to get a 7870xt if you could find one.

The Joker (Tahiti LE) cards are indeed very hard to find.

And the pictures are upside down because of a problem with the files themselves. they were taken on a jailbroken iPhone 4s which has many tilt monitoring cydia tweeks that seem to adversely affect the tilt sensor governing the rotation of the camera.

I really dont like to compromise on motherboard quality, but in any case, I had a much cheaper mobo speced out, but my friend forgot to buy it when he was purchasing the parts.

So when I asked how much he had left, it was more than enough to upgrade, however he had already bought the 7870, so I could only upgrade the mobo.
