Description

ACTUAL PRICE $765

This is my first gaming build. I wanted something that could play most games from 2012 on high to ultra settings but my budget was really tight. The price below is actually wrong after all of the discounts and mail in rebates the price came in at 765 dollars. So far this machine has met all my expectations and even exceeded them in some ways.

My only complaint might lies with the case. It is kinda difficult for cable management since their is not much room behind the motherboard tray to route cables and I cant figure out how to get a case fan into the front of the case because the hard drive cage is blocking the mounts and screw points, and as far as I can tell the cage is redited to the case so it would be difficult to take it out. Also the Corsair 400r case went on sale for 60 dollars literally a day after I bought this case which really frustrated me.

But still I'm very happy. My CPU rarely exceeds 40c and my GPU never goes over 46c. And I get an average of 40fps on FarCry 3 running on ultra. (no msaa)

PS: The graphics card isn't in the pictures because I got it late and I'm too lazy to take the side panel off my case to shoot a new picture.

PPS: The pictures are a little old and the cable management is much better than it was at the time of these photos.

Nice build, though I'm not particularly fond of your choice in case, I would suggest filling the empty fan slots with some nice fans to improve airflow, I would suggest some Corsair AF-120s.

Hey, its not bad at all, at least Battlefield 3 did not suck on your pc. Anyway your build is great for people who's has a limited budget and they need a heavy duty machine

If you're going to cheap out on a part, the case is probably the best place to cut corners. Solid Build, far cry 3 is pretty demanding.

I plan on getting an ssd in a couple paychecks. I got my CPU for $150 and I don't really care much for overclocking.
