Description

Posted on Redit: http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/1im10k/build_complete_how_did_my_setup_end_up_costing/

This list consists of almost everything that is part of my setup. Will post detailed benchmarking stats, and video soon as well.

This is one of the smallest full featured ATX cases in my opinion, just compare the dimensions yourselves! ;) Lian LI PC a05NB
8.26" x 19.29" x 15.00"

Here are a few things my rig has:

  1. Multi Color LCD touchscreen 5 fan/5 temp controller.

  2. Knobs for 3 LED strip lighting control.

  3. Dust filters/anti vibration spacing for all fans and most screws.

  4. 4 fans w/ Custom Watercooling

  5. Remote control lighting (to almost any color/lighting mode possible)

  6. 10 USB 3.0's

It looks so beautiful. Great creativity there. And that Quad core with the 7970 will work perfectly.

Thanks, and not entirely, up close looks even better. I wish I had DSLR to accurately show exactly how sleek it is.

Sorry for the late response, and thanks for reminding me. I had totally forgotten to add the remote controlled lighting, and actually I was trying to find the receipt. I have added it on the list.

It is 5M SMD 5050 LED Waterproof Strip Light 150 Leds Flash RGB +44K IR Remote Control.

As for the other 2 lighting strips, (2x) Phobya LED Flex Light 36 Count SMD LED Light Strip - 30cm - White (83122)

That is on the front, and BitFenix Alchemy Connect™ 6 LED Light Strip - 120mm - White, is behind the reservoir.

I'm almost positive I recall at some point in time looking into vehicle lighting and came across a (rather pricey) kit that had a remote identical to yours. I wish I knew what that was called now, but regardless, seeing this, such a good deal in comparison. Especially since it comes PC ready.

Yep, its quite bright, waterproof and you can even cut into pieces according to your specifications. That's what I did and its running like a champ.

If I ever redo mine, I might have to look into that.

"Added dimensions for Bitfenix prodigy, one of the smallest ITX cases." I think you meant one of the largest ITX cases?

nice build..but wont your ram run at 1333 since youve got two speeds of ram in it?

  • 1 point

Correct. Only reason I put 1333 ram in there is because I traded it with my friend to match my 1600. There is absolutely no noticeable speed between the two. And I was hearing reports that you can even overclock it.

I'm kinda sad such a great build only has 33 upvotes :c one of the best I've seen aesthetically. very pleasing to the eye.

How did you put up the LED's? I wanna put them in mine when i get the parts in

o.O

Only thing I have to say is you should have gotten the NZXT Hue instead of the Phobya. Only thing I noticed anyways, too much for me to take in, LOL. Nice build though, must have taken quite awhile.

I would like to hear the story about how this was built.

  • 1 point

I think you meant the Sunbeam Rheosmart. I picked this fan controller due to the fact it can power pretty much anything, and the knobs on it are much higher end than on the Hue.

This build took a while. Technically this was done a month and a half ago, but I kept adding some new stuff onto it, not to mention I used some of the components from other builds.

I will be posting the entire thing on reddit soon enough. More pics, more details.

The Hue is an RGB LED Controller. And sweet, I'll be sure to take a look.
