Description

This is my first pc build. Built it for gaming, music production, video editing and some work. Always wanted to build my own rig, glad I finally got the chance. Took me a couple of months to find & pick up the parts & assemble them.

Everything is working smoothly and really pleased with the results. Planning on adding some other parts in the near future such as a liquid cooler for overclocking etc.

Congratulations on your first build, you have selected some top-quality parts in comparison to other new builders. Apologies to mention, but you should work on your cable management; this is one part of building new desktops which takes the most time to plan.

Cable management is where you reduce cable-clutter inside your desktop tower, ensuring optimal airflow throughout the case and also making it easier for when you upgrade components. Most modern cases (including yours) have cut-outs, where you can route your cables. You route the cables through the back and then bring them to the front, reducing clutter at the forefront; again for optimal airflow for ensuring your computer remains cool under stress.

Here is an example of a clean build: Front | Back

You can see cables are routed through the back. If you did that to your build, your build would look beyond astonishing especially given the red and black colour scheme you have. Of course you could always consider this when you have spare time; good cable management requires planning and to cable manage my build took around 2 hours.

Here's my primary build: Front | Zoomed into Front

You can see my build is using all stock features, such as a non-modular sleeved PSU and stock CPU cooler yet with cable management I was able to retain a clean look. On your build you should be able to receive better results.

All the best. :)

This is one of the very best reviews I have EVER been privileged to read.

This is great advice (with images to support).

Thank You

Thanks for looking at my build and commenting :) Tried to put in some research with regards to the parts, glad you approve of them. They're all working well for me, so really pleased. Cheers for giving me advice on cable management, I knew I had to do it just was excited to get it up running lol. Going to spend the next few days tiding it up, completely agree gives the build much better airflow :)

Your build looks really clean & tidy. The pic's you linked gave me a good idea what to aim for :)

Cheers

2 words. Cable Management.

That case should be equipped to run most if not all those cables out the back to avoid the mess you have there now.

I like your part selection though.

Zip ties are scientifically proven to increase airflow!

Nice build for the price though.

Manage the cables better. You will get better airflow, lower temps, and your parts will last longer and function better.

Im happy to see this build in photos, it's just simply amazing :D

Thanks for sharing, Congrats!

I'm currently building a similar pic with the same mobo and case, I'm having trouble with the front panel connecters on this so if you could show a diagram or a picture it would be appreciated, ( I have looked in the manual and just need extra information)
