Description

As my first build this went very well and there is tons of room to upgrade. All the parts worked as they should and i had no troubles putting it together. The computer does great in gaming, I only play CSGO and so it is plenty enough. On CSGO it manages to get 300+fps on all high settings on 1080p.

Heres some reviews on the parts

XION XON 310 mATX case

Pros - Small, doesn't look or feel very cheap -Blue led fan looks decent and is quiet -Buttons on top feel very nice Cons -Awkward Hard drive placement -No cable management -doent come with enough screws

ASRock H97m Pro 4 Mobo - Nice looking bios, easy instal and clen looking -very cool looking blue heatsink and features -input and outputs in somewhat awkward positions

EVGA geforce 750ti graphics card - does alright for average gaming -nice badges and stickers -quiet

Thank you to pcpartpicker and my dad

Nice first build! I wouldn't have gone with a 2GB GPU, especially since the 4GB 960 is only $30 more (on sale). Good job though!

The 380 is better than both of those.

A GTX 960 on SLI? Erm, no.... a single 960 4GB is fine for 1080p.

I couldn't disagree more. SLI is a waste of money (VRAM doesn't stack) and 2GB doesn't get the job done with even conservative texture mods.

I want to say idiots, 2gb is perfect for 1080p,and even your fine for 1440p (linus made a vid with 2 gtx 950 playing in 1440p) SLI is not a waste of money it all depends on you situation. EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT VRAM DOESN'T STACK THAT IS WHY YOU WOULD GET A 4gb CARD IF YOU PLAN TO SLI. Since you will have the same card for a while and game will need more ram that why it is wise to go with 4gb, but is you plan just to buy sell replace your gpu the save money by getting what is needed.

Say whatever you like, it still doesn't change the fact that 2 GB of VRAM isn't going to get the job done. I upgraded a 2GB card last year because It consistently ran out of VRAM running essentially any combination of hi-res texture mods in Skyrim and New Vegas.

SLI is a waste of money unless you consider gaining 5 FPS and waiting for SLI Game Ready drivers to allow games to actually use the second card a worthwhile pursuit.

Wow that seems like a 100% true statement and not an exaggeration at all.

SLI on budget cards are not worth it, but what about a 980ti? They are great for SLI.

Well a gtx 950 in 2 way SLI CAN preform like a gtx 970 in 1440p. And I doestill not matter because he plays minecraft and csgo

Nice build :) I finished my main rig in November (I have a Completed Build thing on here) and probably next month I'll be building a $500 mini ITX since I only need to buy the gpu now. One thing on this build I would change is the HDD if you are gaming since newer games are going to be taking up 60gb, but that's whatever you want.

Funny I was going to go for that cpu actually, until i thought about upgrades in the future that is non existent with amd sockets

Depends on the Motherboard you choose. The AM3+ socket can get you as high as an fx 9590.
