Description

FIRST OFF I WANT TO SAY I DON'T HAVE THE CARD IN THE PICTURES BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE IT WHEN I TOOK THE PICTURES. I GET IT IN A FEW DAYS AND THEN I WILL UPDATE IT. This is my second build I have done, if you have negative things to say about it go ahead and talk it doesn't matter I think I did a great job and my build came out good. The build was meant for 3D design/gaming/ and video editing. I have a old pair of razer kraken pros for audio that I use. I'm using a corsair k70 keyboard and razer deathadder 2013 mouse I got before the build. Don't mind the sound card in the picture it was an old sound card from my last build that I just put in there. Computer boots up in 8 seconds. Windows 8 is a beast with boot up speeds. I'm using start 8 so it brings back that old windows 7 feel. Monitor that I'm using is an Asus vg248qe. GOING TO BUY A SECOND 780 FOR FUTURE UPGRADES. 850w might seem like overkill but I might need it for future upgrades. All the custom parts I chose are choose-able if your gonna do this build. I live by the beach so I get cool temps around here. Haven't tested a full load temp yet... might do that soon.

If you are going to build a rig with fx 8350, you dont need more than a gtx 680, Otherwise you will get bottlenecked by the cpu.

For 3D Design and video editing, i'm questioning why you didn't go with the i7-4770k? Also surprised you don't have more HDD space, though maybe you're using external drives?

The i5 is fine for editing with my experiences

You could also use your CUDA cores in the 780 to render the videos if the i5 lacks in that area ever.

yeah exactly, a combination of a good processor and video-card is what you should have.

Seems like an i7 or previous generation Xeon E2 would have been a better choice than the i5 :/
