Description

Built this for a co-worker who needed a new computer. Originally went to Best Buy with them, then convinced them that I could build them a much better computer for a much better price. I got a budget of $400, and found this as a Super Shellshocker deal or something on Newegg, so I bought it. It's been a few years since I did a whole PC build from scratch, so this was very satisfying. I installed Win7 Ultimate x64 on it.

It's been running for about a month now with no problems at all, although it is mostly used for spreadsheet editing and email checking. Hopefully it will provide years of reliable service.

some of these things went up, nice deal to get it for $400, im assuming you're in the US? most other places only get small rebates, or the deals are $200+ psu's and a 250+ gpu. nice build

Thanks! Yes, I am in the US. I had been watching Newegg's combo deals for a while and I was going to buy a $360 bundle and put the rest towards a nice keyboard and mouse, but when I went to buy that combo, this was on the front page. I guess I just got lucky.

I probably would've gone with an APU, but I like he 4130 + 7750 combo. Good price to performance dealio

I like it. Simple, lots of airflow, and plenty of drive bays. I'm tempted to buy another one for myself.
