Description

I built this when I was inexperienced, and this machine did not work as I expected, as the Motherboard is cheap as dirt, the Ram configuration is strange and the GPU is slow, this is one build I wish I could rethink. And no this is not a troll.

I'm confused as to why you went with different ram sticks, i understand it's a budget but...

I didn't understand the consequences at that time.

Just upgrade the mobo and PSU and you should have a halfway decent system.

EDIT: what programs are you trying to run at what speed?

Games such as BF4, which runs fine actually on medium. I edit with CS6 sometimes.

yeah i mean, look at the cost compared to how it actually runs. Not really all that bad, eh? You might be able to sell it for 300-350.

I'd think 400-500 actually.

Possibly. But people these days usually don't want desktops, and the ones that do tend to know enough about them to see that this desktop is basically going to a current-gen console in terms of performance. I take off 50 for being used, maybe some more for using lower-than-standard quality parts, to arrive at 300-350. Best of luck tho... if you do sell it for a good amount, tell us how you did so, eh?

there must be something wrong. There are some good parts, but the motherboard is something to change

Yep, Asus and Gigabyte are the best so I've heard.

But at your budget. Biostar isn't a bad option, neither it is the best.

I will spend more to get a better motherboard if I have to.

Good CPU, Fair GPU, and everything else isnt the best, but that motherboard and storages are Fairly bad. I would upgrade to biostar a960d+ and a Seagate Barracuda 1TB. But upgrade your pc in time.

I would go with a Gigabyte or and Asus, not a biostar, and I'm fine on HDD space but it definitely is something I will upgrade.

6 GB of ram, but different speeds, different models, you're just asking for trouble.

Yea, I was inexperienced when I built it, I'm 14 but am hoping to upgrade my motherboard first, then my case. So far I'm ok on HDD space.

All I can say is save your money!! I dont think that a lot of 14 year olds have the ability to do what some of us, like you, can with these things. Good job!

It's not that bad, if you can run BF4 in Medium that's great ! If you need a new PC, you may check my Saved Parts List.
