Description

This is my first high-end build and I'm really proud of it, learned a lot from this site. I know there are a lot of better builds out there but for now this is the best that I can do and afford. I'm sure there are opportunities to upgrade with what I have but it have to wait until I can afford it. Hope you guys like it, I don't want to bore you folks with all the parts as you can see from the part picker list. Sorry for the poor picture quality, my camera took a dump while doing my build so all pix were taken from my phone.

Spent lots of time research and come up with a design and modify the case, color scheme and the lighting system. I want a clean and elegant look for the rig and I think I’m happy with what I have done.

Already have a few people want to buy this rig but I'm not sure if I want to let it go. I created the black hole on the lower right panel to give it a unique look, if you need help on this, I will try to. Mainly using this rig for work, Photoshop, video editing/encoding movies and some games.

Overclocked CPU to 4.7 GHz with 1.32v but I backed it down to 4.3 GHz for the longevity, I don't need that high right now. The dual SLI GTX 760 worked for me but I may upgrade to GTX 780 ti once I can afford it and maybe custom water loop.

I’m in the process planning the next project and it will be a high-end “Desk PC” (a new build for a friend) with monitors that can be raised or lowered when the system is turned on/off. If anyone out there have any suggestions for this that would be appreciated. Will keep you guys update on this.

Thank you for viewing, any comments or suggestions are welcome. Have a great day :)

Dude that thing reminds me of my ex girlfriend. Beautiful from all sides, interesting under the covers and in the end much to expensive for me.

Awesome build though, looks gorgeous !

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 6 points 43 months ago

Thanks dude and yes indeed she is expensive but she's worth every penny of it (for now - LOL).

AustinTheTimelord 10 points 42 months ago

After a few years she just starts needing more and more things so you just say **** it and go out and get a new one... No? Just me?.. Alright...

I am left speechless.... I love my single 760 and my friend has two but damn this build is sexy as hell. If I was a computer I would totally, uhh, put my hard drive in this if you know what i'm saying.

squirtkenny 19 points 43 months ago

CaptainwolfieXD 2 points 41 months ago

plgdg 1 Build 9 points 43 months ago

Killin' it with the paint job. You even painted the edges of the EVGA backplate red. That's attention to detail, man. GJ.

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 3 points 43 months ago

Thanks for the comment. Hope I didn't kill it too much.

plgdg 1 Build 4 points 43 months ago

Killin' it is good lol...

Hellvaguy 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Whats the little temperature/speedometer looking lcd screen inside your case? I want one. Link plz.

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Here you go: http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Thermometer-Temperature-Meter-Gauge/dp/B00CRTYUSA/ref=sr_1_53?ie=UTF8&qid=1397799087&sr=8-53&keywords=pc+temp+gauge It's about $8.50 from Amazon and make sure you use it with 5 volt only. It may take a little long to get it here from China.

tjb423 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

That's one cool thermometer, I'd love to get one but in my instance I can't put it inside the PC cause I have no windows + it's the sides are inside of my desks legs if that makes any sense (if not just check out my build :D)

ItsSynth 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

This is the sexiest computer ive ever seen...

casebuilder 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

one of the best builds on here, +1 man.

TheNewGuy01 1 point 43 months ago

Some damn good modding was done here! I am liking all of it! Very well done , sir!

atomicruns 2 Builds 1 point 43 months ago

WOW. This is fantastic. This is definitely in my top 5 builds overall on this site - the custom work you did on it really puts it over the top. Great part selection, too. +1

gambitz 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Paint Job looks good! Nice build

timmyd 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Pretty Damn Awesome!

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks dude, I like your rig as well. How is your OCed on that CPU, staying stable at the rate?

timmyd 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

It was for awhile, then I had issues and backed it down to 4.2. Now seems ok.

Erolian 1 point 43 months ago

If you are not in it already, I'd highly recommend you take your superb custom PC building skills to the public and earn some nice enjoyable cash for yourself. Given the feedback from this community, you'd fair well for yourself.

Cheers Mate!

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thank you for all the kind words and suggestions. Just want to share my work to the site that I learned from. Can't wait for the my next project, it will be amazing, working on the voice recognition system next.

Catalyzer 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Really nice build , i loved how you made it ! I just wanted to ask that how did you made the side panel so fancy ? What have you done to that side panel fan mount ? It looks totally rad !

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks, I build that black hole from scratch using 1/8 acrylic sheet with one-way mirror in front side and mirrored on back side with LED 1812 in between, it gives you the infinity illusion. The lighting system can also be activated by sound or music or you can set up different mode of lighting effects. I will post the actual image of the lighting system (in the 5.25 bay) later.

Catalyzer 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks buddy , i have the same case in black , even i want to do something like this ,(infinity illusion) or something that will look fancy. How much did it cost you btw ?

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

For the acrylic the cost is about $15 and the LED is a bit more expensive because I have my own lighting system that only uses this type of LED but you can get 5 meters of the LED light strip for $20 on Amazon or ebay.

HipToss 1 Build 1 point 38 months ago

I agree. Getting the same case and would love to see how to do that! +1

TheBored 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Very cool build +1

Hitch_Blacklabel 1 point 43 months ago

Were you concerned with voiding the warranty by adding the custom paint to the video cards? I've seen some great tutorials, but reconsider concerning the risk/reward. Beautiful color combination, +1

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Yes, I thought about that for a long time but went ahead and paint them anyway. Thanks for the tip.

IrshaadH 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Wow, the work you put into this is impeccable. I especially love the paint job, kinda reminds me of power rangers, lol!

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks man, how do you like your BenQ monitor thus far?

IrshaadH 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

It's actually really impressive. So cheap, and yet the colour reproduction and response times are incredible. I don't think I'll need a new monitor until I'm ready to upgrade to 4K

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Yeah 4K is next my friend.

JuicyNG 1 point 43 months ago

Hey-o it's the dude from the water-cooling vid! Nice setup, I love it!

Thanks dude, your setup is quite impressive as well.

Kirkzilla 1 point 43 months ago

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks man, it sure feel good to know that you can accomplish thing that you didn't think you can.

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

Thanks!

ali975 1 point 43 months ago

Awesome build man, I know I'm a bit late to the party but how long did this take you to plan/put together?

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Took me about 2 months to plan and 3 days to put it together.

ali975 1 point 43 months ago

Wow that's a lot of planning well done :)

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

The 2 months of planning also including the time to save up the mula to buy these gears ;)

ali975 1 point 43 months ago

Aghh okay I can guarantee it's going to take me a bit longer but I'v been wanting to build my own for a while now.

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Let me know if I can help.

Ope_Lee 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Very different than the typical red theme builds. Ailikit!

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks for the comment. I try to make it unique and I think I got the aesthetics the way it should be.

seesamsea 1 point 43 months ago

holy mother of pearl

Well done on the case mods, wow.

By the way, how did you make that black hole effect on the bottom right side panel? I'm planning on getting this case in the future and would love to cover the bottom right vent

gucci32sam 1 point 42 months ago

Cool!

baddatabaddata 1 point 42 months ago

Fresh to death! Nice work!

Skinnyjeans21 1 Build 1 point 42 months ago

Where can I buy this "Time, Labor, & Creativity" ??

Nice beautiful build, +1

fflmaster 1 point 41 months ago

The build looks totally amazing.

Can you tell me what type of paint was used for the all the parts?

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 40 months ago

Thanks, I used Rust-Oleum paint 2X Ultra Cover (Paint+Primer) Gloss Apple Red. I really enjoying it.

Sherlod 1 point 40 months ago

Wow, I love the whole red and white theme throughout the build. Awesome! Really want this case now! :P

storm5532 1 point 40 months ago

beautiful build. looks like a lot of time and effort

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 39 months ago

Thanks, yes indeed but it worth every bit of it.

BaSkA 1 point 39 months ago

Only question is: Why get an i7 and 760 SLI instead of an i5 and 770 SLI?

Bad choice there IMO (for graphics performance) but nice build.

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 39 months ago

The setup is working just fine for me and I know it is a great choice for me. Thanks for the comment.

thekasafist 1 Build 1 point 38 months ago

Good custom work man you sure got yourself a unique build try to hold onto that as long as you can! +2 for you hahaha! :D

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 38 months ago

Thanks Dude!

iamwildbear 1 point 37 months ago

My god dude i would have to say this is my favorite looking build on all of the website...

If i had the money i would pay you to paint my case and my cards xD

But i dont even have any money to build a rig yet myself D:

Mr_Le0 2 Builds 1 point 36 months ago

beautiful modding, love it!

slyfox98 1 point 34 months ago

Nice build man! I am getting similar parts and love how you painted the case. Would you mind showing us how you got it to look like that? I would love to do something similar when I finally get my PC done.

josh95 1 Build 1 point 34 months ago

This is literally the best/coolest **** I have ever seen in my life. What fans do you use on the lower side panel?

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 33 months ago

Thanks, and the lower side panel isn't fan but an infinity light (black hole) that I create for the unique look.

Ntress 1 point 33 months ago

That's amazing.

why does this case needs case fans? isn't it has good airflow?

Aleneahx 1 Build 1 point 33 months ago

hey I love the build I'm looking to build using the same case I had one question, what is the thermometer is in your case??

LuisD9 1 point 31 months ago

What kinds of paint did you use to get the black outline on the red paint job like that? And was it hard to do? Btw, great design! Hope you don't mind if I steal it ;) or at least try...haha

LuisD9 1 point 31 months ago

P.S. What size is the fan in the very back, very bottom and the one hanging next to the drive bins?

Cass256 1 Build 1 point 30 months ago

Hot damn, this is the best looking build I've ever seen. +1

tenoclock 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

What did you do on picture 28 to make the fan look like that, or is that a specific fan?

Mad-Warrior 1 point 29 months ago

Nice it would Look better with more lights

pcbuilder97 1 point 25 months ago

How do u paint it or what do u paint it with?

Finxert 1 Build 1 point 25 months ago

How Hard was it to paint the case?

DragonsCurse 1 point 25 months ago

Love the whole build. You must have spent a lot of time painting and modding these parts. Looks amazing overall. I wish i knew how to paint the case red in that way. Very meticulous, though im young to know a ton about the parts total, great job. Again, wish i was as good at modding/painting the parts. +1 gg

Manueld470 1 point 17 months ago

I have a question regarding the paint. What kind of paint did you use and how has it held up? Looks great by the way.

I_Am_Devious 1 point 12 months ago

whats the white and red case

KSIMauser 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

How many fans did it come with and how many did you put in also, what size fans?

erik4boss 1 Build 0 points 43 months ago

Paint job is AWESOME.

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 0 points 43 months ago

Thanks for the comments and advises. Still more work to be done but I better stop for now before my wife and kids kill me ;)

Well done! Love the custom work and choice of colors. Very inspiring.

IIIAVIATORIII 2 Builds 0 points 43 months ago

Nice work dude, looks like the investment paid off. You got a Smokin' PC there. +1. - Aviator

Samtana78 0 points 43 months ago

Impressive looking for sure!

gambitz 1 Build 0 points 43 months ago

75 for LED strips? Check out the NZT Hue.. Under 40 USD

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Actually, the LED lighting strip is a different type of LED that I have in mind to work with my own lighting system for the rig. Thanks for the suggestion.

thunderdan602 1 Build 0 points 43 months ago

Good job. Nice build.

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks man, your build is absolutely great as well.

Jhact007 1 Build 0 points 43 months ago

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks for the kind words my friend. I like your setup as well.

Jhact007 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks! :)

bsdev820 1 Build 0 points 43 months ago

Incredible build, would be interested to know what kinds of displays you are using. Great part choices, 1st class looks and awesome pictures and descriptions to show it off get more than just my +1, you also have my admiration. Great job, it's a real pleasure to see builds like this.

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

Thanks buddy, I have 3 of the BenQ XL2420TE 144Hz on order and can't wait to see them in action.

MrPlatypi01 -1 points 43 months ago

If you would have spent about 20 dollars more, you could have gone with two 770s for better performance. But overall nice build. I would also like to point out that two 760's will give you better performance than a single 780.

gambitz 1 Build -1 points 43 months ago

I'm sure that's why he went with 2 760s....

20 dollars more would not get you a 770

remi1133 -3 points 43 months ago

Yes It would have actually, he used the 4GB version of the 760 which cost him $310 apiece, if he had gone with 2GB 770s then it would have been right around $20 more.

jaredt 1 Build -3 points 43 months ago

I don't really like sli 760's vs a single card (did see you had upgrade plans) and I nearly down voted, but that paint job is just so good :) +1

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 0 points 43 months ago

Yes, next upgrade will be the GTX 780TI when I get more mula :)

jaredt 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Haha ya good plan :) man I can't get over how awesome the paint job is lol, wish I had a good case to paint :)

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Thanks, took a while to come up with the color scheme and take time to paint it. Still have paint spots all over on my hands - LOL

ravengpitts 1 point 43 months ago

did you use a brush or spray paint? I love the paint job, and I have the same case but was stuck on how to customize it w/out ruining it.

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

I sprayed paint the box but you really want to use good masking tape so it won't bleed.

[comment deleted]
sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Yes I did and tested on an old GPU first and it seems to working okay.

[comment deleted]
sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

I used Rust-Oleum paint+primer gloss white (for plastic).

In previous comments and in his own post he mentions the intent to upgrade to a 780 ti once he has more money. Please read everything before commenting to prevent redundancy.

ITneto -1 points 43 months ago

I didn't intend to be rude, so be more respectfull..Sorry, I don't usually read the whole post, I got to start doing that... But let me tell you something... I've seen other builds with SLI 760 and everybody downvotes, but a guy paints the pc a litte and everybody says it is ok, I guess he is never upgrading to a 780ti

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 3 points 43 months ago

Of course we all made choices that we have to live with and to tell the truth the 760s are working just fine for me and I'm the one have to live with it. I don't make any assumptions or judgments to other people work until I walk in their shoes. My intention here is not to outdone or outsmart anyone but to share my work and experience to people that appreciate the work. Thank you for your time and comments.

gambitz 1 Build -1 points 43 months ago

Isn't 2 760s cheaper? And wayyyy more badass

sepnotic submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Yes, I did take a big risk but with a little practice did help. Used very good masking tape to prevent the paint from bleeding. Thanks again.

I had to cut the case's top back side to get the hoses to fit to the left.
