Description

Second intel build, went from i5 to amd to i7. she works real good.

Edit: Parts were accumulated throughout the year. Just discovered this site so i decided to upload the build. It was made prior to the release of the new 900 series gpu's.

Why go with the 4770k over the 4790k which is cheaper?

He didn't mention when it was built, so perhaps the 4790k wasn't out or otherwise available at the time.

I bought the 4770k in march and just now got around to piecing it together. Bought through retail edge so the price was perfect.

You should of gotten a cheaper case and made your gpu to a GTX 970

Based off of your experience, how would your AMD compare with the i5 you had?

The 8350 seems to work at lot more fluidly than the i5. The i5 was from a couple of years ago so its hard to say.

I would of went with a mechanical keyboard... but that is me. other than that it seems great based on what you said (with getting parts throughout the year)

Vary clean build, nice balance of components. But that Geforce Gtx logo is sticking out like a sore thumb. There are tutorials on how to change the colour, and as you can see in the example, it looks great.

(I did look up your case, and unless you are modding in a side panel window, this might just be an unnecessary risk)

Nice! I would have gone with the 4790k as it is only 3 or 4 dollars cheaper on Newegg (at the time of this comment) and provides a pretty large advantage when it comes to overclocking. Also I would have gone with an ASUS or MSI gtx 770 to match the red build. Sick looking build nonetheless! :D

Most of the parts have been sitting around for quite a while. Looking to pick up some tactical tracers and an Asus 970 if they every come back in stock.

i agree, the 4970k would've been a better choice but it looks wonderful :D

Should have went 4790k with a GTX 970. At least you grabbed the H100i.
