Wut do you guys think?
It look nice enough, but I need the back story. Build description parts choices. The "Holy **** I almost cut off my finger building this" tales .
Yeah what he said!
+1 for detailed description.
-1 for all razer (razer is poop)
Nice build anyway +1
So like like "Less pics please"
Probs the most fanboy-ish build i've seen on this site. +1
Just because he chose to go with a green build where there is basically only razor makes him a fan boy. You numb skull
Gj getting a green motherboard and video card to compliment the color theme. Not a fan of the stock cooler as others have mentioned but it'll likely get the job done. +1 bravo for your Razer fandom!
I would have gotten a Razer keyboard and mouse because they're pretty nice, but, I couldn't justify the cost. =/
Well I care about the look. I know that it will not look good if use the stock cooler. However, I see that the case got the "smoke" glass panel. You will not see it any way
Are you perhaps fitting the Razer fanboy stereotype?
blech that keyboard placement is butt for gaming........
its true. put it up. you gotta get close to it
Razed is kinda overpriced, and get a better CPU cooler. But otherwise, you have a nice build.
At least you got the right chipset for your processor, although z170 allows overclocking on all Skylake CPUs. Looks good and tidy, but for this amount of money I would've went for the 6600k.
+1 for high quality photos.
Nicely done! Very similar to the system I just put together with some very practical choices on your part. I love the green and black!
Nice build! +1
A few opinions of some parts of the build would be nice though.
How are you liking that mobo so far?
B150 it get the job done. I like it with the LED.
I'm planning on getting one of these boards myself (I love the black/green), were the BIOS easy to use? It's my first time building a PC and I dont know if it's worth shelling out ~150+ for a better MOBO.
The motherboard BIOS is very easy to use. However, you don't even need to mess with it because it doesn't support OC Intel processor. If you want to overclocking then go find the board that has the z170 chipset on it. If you not OC, then don't waste your money with others board. I bought it because of the look. In the market right now, only this board that is green. So, it get the job done
Yes, this is awesome, but why razor? I have seen so many people who say 'Razor is the best', and have no idea that Logitech/Coolermaster/Corsair/Steel-series exist. Razor is definitely overpriced - take the death-adder for example. It is literally a standard mouse that glows and is shaped differently. You could buy a Logitech G602 for cheaper and get a ton of mechanical button customisability + better ergonomics!
Sorry for my rant, but I really dislike Razor. However, please note that I think this build is still really awesome with a great colour scheme and nice, bright LEDs. One other thing I need to note though is why did you choose a GTX 970 over an R9 390? An R9 390 will attain better FPS than a GTX 970 in almost every game at all resolutions. Just a note for the future.
Have a +1 :)
Well, actually I build this for one of my friend who is the fans boy of Razer. I told him to choose r9 390 but he likes Nvidia brand more. In comparison, the gtx970 just perform a bit better in 1080p than r9 390( I own r9 390 myself). He also didn't plan for 2k monitors.
At 1080P gaming an R9 390 hammers a GTX 970. What CPU are you using?
Out of the 8 games tested in this review at 1080P, an R9 390 beats the GTX 970 in 5 games, one of them tying, and the remaining 2 goes to a GTX 970 by about 2 - 3FPS. When the res is bumped up, the R9 390 leaves the GTX 970 in the dust, because 8GB VRAM over 3.5GB.
No razer headphones or mouse pad?
This pc looks great! But it would look so much better with cable extensions, and a cpu cooler like the cryorig h7.
I think I will buy CPU cooler soon. Nice catch
Nice build, but that stock cooler is killing me.
