Description

Hi, I've built this PC to do a few things I like to game and I left the good ol Xbox 360 behind hoping this fills the void left in my life haha. I am also going to use this for auto cad and a few other programs as I am in school for mechanical design right now that too is awesome. So the whole build for a newbie went well, I the only thing I had trouble with was the 1TB drive shows up in BIOS but I dont see it in windows any ideas im all ears.

UPDATE: Everything is working great now I think I found a new hobby haha as the title states this was fun now I'm trying to talk my brother into building a rig. The cpu idles at 30ish and playing fallout 4 for a few hours it's didn't get over 50 very pleased with my build couldn't imagine what a i7 and 1070 would be like ah well I'll go overkill next time.

Part Reviews

CPU

This little fella is simply amazing! works very well and with the stock cooler it idles around 30C and i haven't seen it past 50C yet!

Motherboard

This worked very well for me the book was helpful the mobo looks good and I had no issues at all.

Storage

Boot time is around 40 seconds with this little guy, need I say more.

Storage

This was the only problem I had with my whole build, it wasn't even a problem i just didn't get formatted when I installed windows so I had to do it my self no big deal.

Video Card

The only games I have right now are fallout 4 nba 2k14 and civ5, fallout 4 looks amazing and runs good no issues at all the card doesn't get hot at all. Also I can't ear this running.

Case

The case looks good a bit flimsy not bad though, decent cable management but I think next time I get a case with a basement to clean up the look a little better.

Power Supply

Looks good works good no issues from here at all.

Optical Drive

A bit loud, its the only part of my rig I can hear running ever. It does read DVD's

Operating System

I like 10 so its got 5 stars from me.

Hey there! You drive might not have been formatted properly or it hasn't been set a proper path, right click the My PC/Computer icon on the desktop and click manage, from there go to Disk management, you should see a grayed out drive of 930-980gb right click it and click change dive letter and paths, then just set it to D\ or whatever letter you want to be honest, that should solve the problem you're having! Hope that helps

Edit: Also I wouldn't leave you computer case so low to the ground, with it being so low its easier for the fans and intakes to pickup a lot of dirt/hair/dust ect, if you have somewhere to place it on your desk I would do so! It's always best to have the case elevated

I agree, the drive probably isn't formatted properly, I had the same problem. Search up Resource Manager in Windows 10, and then right click on the drive and format it.

Right on! I got the drive formatted, also that was just kinda a test position for the pc it's now off the floor on a wooden table. Thanks for the help!
