Description

This is a upgrade of my first build, I added a new case, GPU, PSU, HUE+, AIO cooler, monitor, mouse, keyboard, headphones and SSD. I wanted something that looked nice and would last me up until the next generation of cards come out after Pascal. All I play is CSGO, Infinite Warfare, Overwatch, and Star Citizen. Also excuse the horrible looking setup, where I am is temporary.

Part Reviews

CPU

I definitely a great processor for the price and will last quite awhile.

CPU Cooler

Keep my CPU cool, probably not as good as the one with bigger radiators but works just fine for me. I don't overclock.

Motherboard

Pretty basic motherboard I kept from previous build. No problems with it.

Memory

Works fine, looks like its been discontinued though so it is hard to find another 8gb.

Storage

A pretty quick and affordable SSD.

Storage

Works good for mass storage. Hasn't failed on me.

Video Card

More than enough power to keep my frames high enough to take advantage of the 144hz on my monitor. I love it and should last me for a minute.

Case

A nice and clean looking case, it wasn't to hard to work in and I really like how the PSU is covered.

Power Supply

Extremely overkill for my build but its definitely good.

Monitor

Looks good and is pretty nice quality. I love having the 144hz, make my games look smoother.

Keyboard

I nice cheap rgb keyboard. Looks really good and seems to have great build quality.

Mouse

This mouse is really comfortable and the weights make it feel really nice. It has the best design of any mouse I have seen.

Headphones

great sound quality considering their price, I use them both for gaming and music. Nice and clear audio.

Other

I just really like Xbox controllers.

Nice! You also play CS:GO! What rank?

trevionpaul submitter 3 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Yeah, I play it a lot. I'm not ranked yet because I haven't played enough competitive. I have started to play though.

Hey! Where you got that Corsair Mouse Mat? It looks like the MM300, but way larger!

trevionpaul submitter 3 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

I got it at best buy for like 15.99. It really nice and feels smooth with mouse movement.

phil.truong 1 point 8 months ago

What! You live in the US? Can you send me the dimensions if it's not too much of a hassle for you I'll try to grab one as large as yours. I got the mm300 but it isn't that large (in height).

Thanks.

trevionpaul submitter 3 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Yeah I do, dimensions are "930mm x 300mm x 3mm".

How many frames do you get on CS?

trevionpaul submitter 3 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

It's all over the place, between 130 and 400. Most of the time it seems like it is under utilizing my card.
