Description

I just finished this build a few days ago its been a work in progress sense the beginning of this year (2016). This is my first build and i love it. I am going to school for game development and design and i need a reliable computer that i can use to program and develop on and this gets the job done and more. There wasn't really and difficulties that i had when building this computer i would say the hardest thing is trying to make this thing look pretty because this case has crap for cable management and was fighting me the whole way through well I hope you like it... i still plan on getting an SSD and also a water cooler for the CPU, then i will be done.... maybe, Still don't know what to name it so suggest and if you have any questions leave comments.

Nice build! Great choice getting the 390 over the 970 btw. I'm sure you can make good use of the 8 gbs of vram developing and running two monitors.

Why wouldn't you just get an internal wireless network adapter?

Also am a bit confuzzled on why you chose a WD black hard drive unless it was for the warranty?

I got that wireless adapter a while back and didn't see a point in replacing something I already had and I run a wired connection most of the time anyways.

Yeah wired is deffenately preferred but I always have a internal wireless card in mine for like LAN parties and stuff

+1 for having the same mouse as me

There are actually some really nice deals on SSDs right now. I got a 480 GB SSD for $100. Try www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales

Have you tried any games on this rig yet? Looks very ideal nice price a couple hundred below my budget as well.

Yeah I have played quite a few games and have been able to run them all at max settings at 60fps no problem. Ex. GTA5, The Forest, Witcher (hair works off) , Dark souls 3, Doom Beta, Planet Side 2, Dying Light, and Insurgency... A lot of people like to complain that the card is loud i can say first hand that it is no problem for me and the fans hardly ever run above 30% the only game that actually made the card run a little loud was The Forest which is an early access game so it is not optimized what so ever, But the card does run hot like everyone says, when under load it will will usually run at 80.c - 85.c.

So no issues with the Krait Edition? I've heard some complaints about that specific card.

What do you mean by "damned pleb". In this case, you look like the fanboy here. The R9 390 outperforms the 970 at 1080p, 1440p and 4k

Good choice, the 390 runs faster than the 970 anyway, obviously this guy is an NVIDIA fanboy :p

Are you an NVIDIA fanboy, the 390 runs faster at higher graphical settings, but runs hotter and uses more power, however it is also future proofing for when games require more than 4GB. The 390 is in between the 970n and 980 in terms of performance, so get a life scrub :O
