Description

I couldn't come up with a clever title so straight and to the point it is.

Well I really can't say that my story is much different from many that I've seen and read. I've always wanted to have a beast of a PC since as far back as I could remember. My PC experience only goes back to about windows 98. I Don't even remember what processor I had but I do remember having this 20 GB hard drive that I thought I could never ever fill up. Fast forward to a little over a year ago. My wife has always known my passion for PC's and saw my frustration over the years. She would see the frustration of waiting for simple games to load and play for me on my 5 year old laptop. She surprised me by telling me that she had been secretly saving money aside just for this reason. Well I started doing all the research and watching countless tech videos. My passion for PC's was ignited once again when I realized how far they had come. My initial plan was to pick every part out and pay someone to build it for me. The thought of trying to put it together and the fear of the BIOS felt like too much for me. After a year of tech videos and the more I invested in this project I decided I would go all in per say. It has been an amazing, and fulfilling adventure. I can say with great happiness that I not only picked out every single part, but I also put it together and installed the OS on my own. It's the type of joy that only other PC enthusiast can appreciate I think. I made a quick video that I'm super happy with and I believe shows of (in my opinion) How awesome this all turned out. I'm not sure how to upload pictures but I will attempt to do so and also if anyone is bored can take a look at my little video. Thanks soooo much to all the PCpartpicker community and the website. It was a tremendous help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4O_KUY6zyc

Wow, does the ram itself have LED lights in them or was it an add on?

The lights are stock on the avexir ram. I wish I could mod something like that lol. I want to say that they carry 3 or 4 different colors to match your build.

Can confirm. Bought some avexir ram without knowing they lit up.

I'm getting the same RAM myself, but I have one question. Are the LEDs RGB or just blue? And if they are RGB, how do you program them to be blue?

Mine are just blue. I wish I had waited and gotten the white ones to better match all the other RGB lights but I like it just as well. As far as I know they only come in red, blue and white.

Clean build! I really like the story in the description. I am going through the same thing myself and can relate. Hope to have my rig up and running in the next couple of months. How has the motherboard treated you so far?

The MB has been fantastic! I have 0 complains. I had one little hick up. Something common I think. It was like not being able to read the ssd. But I did the MB firmware update through the BIOS and easy peazy. I've set it to auto OC the chip and got it to 4.6Ghz stable and was to chicken to go any further. I'm more than happy with that.

I have a question for you. How are your internal temps with this case with a non-reference card?

Thank you. I've been using the corsair software for the fans. I let the Asus easy tune do the tweeking in the begging and haven't mess with them much. Super quiet tho even at full load.
