Why the Windows 7 Pro instead of Home Premium?

I got the Pro at a discount from school.

A few questions: Why 4X2 ram instead of 2X4 to allow for upgradibility? And weren't there modular PSU's at the time also? You should always try for a modular PSU because it's easier to work with, makes it look neater, and it allows for better airflow without airflow in the case. Pretty well balanced build in terms of components though!

I actually do have 2x4, but I couldn't find that memory on here. I also didn't really learn of modular PSUs until after I built (letting my noob show).

edit: there we go, fixed it.

You could've bough a 600 Watt PSU and upgraded the Graphics Card. You can run Crossfire on 620 Watt so I don't see why the OP PSU xD

Plans to upgrade and it was a great price at the time.
