Description

I encountered a couple of problems with this build — neither of which were hard to resolve (a few extra dollars at the local hardware store). First, the fan filters that Lian-Li included with the case rubbed against the blades of the Cooler Master JetFlo fans which created a lot of noise. I had to purchase some longer screws (M5, I believe) and washers to alleviate it. Second, the holes in the motherboard I/O shield were much too large for the WiFi antennas. I had to purchase some large washers with smaller holes in order to secure them to it.

Note: The pictures were taken before the new video card was purchased. The video card in the pictures is an Asus GTX 560 Ti DCUII.

I regret not taking a picture with it turned on to better demonstrate the red illumination from the LED fans. Unfortunately, I no longer have it in my possession as it was built for a friend.

Awesome build. I'm looking to do something similar with this case.

How did you fit 2 video cards AND a Mini-PCI card?

More importantly... what about the noise and temperature?

The mPCIe slot is at the top of the motherboard; therefore, there isn't any interference with the video cards.

The temperatures are fine while idling, but it's going to get very toasty at load unless you're willing to crank the fan speed up (noisy). I setup a custom fan profile in the UEFI with a decent trade-off between noise and temperature. It works pretty well.
