Description

Replacing my wife's 10 year old PC.

That machine was running Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3GHz (Wolfdale), Gigabyte EP45-UD3L Mobo, Corsair 4GB DDR2, Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT 512MB, Windows 10 (64bit). This machine was explicitly built for her to play TF2.

This new one is for her to play Overwatch and stream 1080 content.

Edit

Lol definitely agree it's overkill for Overwatch. But like the previous computer she had, we plan for this machine to last her a decade as well. Maybe in that sense, not so overkill, i hope!

Exact definition of overkill. GPUs are getting smaller by day, and mini itx cases are getting larger by the moment.

Anyways (got sidetracked), Love the build! Looks great. :D

I think when he means "stream 1080p content" he means like watching youtube and netflix.

Yup, she has (AAABatary is correct) already streamed TV shows at 1080p np. Also the 1080 setting on YouTube works perfectly as well. She had to watch youtube at 360p or 480p before

Current idle temps are CPU @ 35C and GPU @ 43C. I believe case size is perfectly fine for the PC's purpose.
