Description

This builds purpose was to replace my old laptop with crappy integrated graphics and so far it's great I did have a few issues building this pc most of them are from the awful case I got cable management being the main issue. (Update) I overclocked the CPU to 3.8 ghz and adjusted the speed of my ram from 2400 mhz to 3000 mhz. (Update) I now have a gtx 1060 3gb and I have fixed up my setup. (Update) added a 2 tb hard drive and i started saving for a new cpu as the current cpu i have in my build is bottlenecking my gpu in games like battlefield 1 and blackops 4

Part Reviews

CPU

Great little apu for people with a low budget trying to get into pc gaming

Motherboard

A Great budget board for overclocking

Memory

Its ram I mean what can I say other than it works

Video Card

This card is a monster for 1080p gaming. I can run almoast all of my games on high to very high

Case

This case has absolutely no cable management in the back and there are many sharp edges that you could cut your finger on but it does come with 2 fans which is good for people on a budget

Power Supply

This a great power supply for budget builds its rated for 500 wats and its 80+ the only complaint I have with this power supply is that its not modular and all the sata power cables are kinda all Frankensteined together

Monitor

Great budget monitor and its 75 hz despite it saying that its 60 hz. Update I'm now giving this product 3 stars because it gave out on me a month later.

What, the profile name, or the build name? The profile name is funny. I was going to comment about that, but then I saw you did... :P

the ryzen 2200g is the king for budget builds this year. mines been running at a stable 3.9ghz overclock for the last 4 months and sits fairly cool under load. I did replace the cooler from stock to a cryorg m9

I'm trying to find some way to make a witty "free feet pics" comment without sounding awful lmao

Seriously, though, I think a lot of us would love to see more of your cleaned up setup, because this is actually a pretty badass budget build. (Also, is that a RetroN 5 I'm spotting back there?)

I rarely see 1600x900 monitors on here. How is that working out for you?

S_U_C_C submitter 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

the 1600x900 monitor is working out great it looks good and its not to tasking on the computer

Actually this is bottom of the barrel, if said barrel is filled with water, which would cause the system to sink. But seriously +1 for a nice little $400 system

Did you have to update the bios ? if so can u tell me how cause i have a Asrock A320m-HDV board with Ryzen 3 2200G but idk how to update the bios to the latest firmware

S_U_C_C submitter 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

As long as you bought the motherboard after the launch of the 2200g you should be fine

RelaxationMods 1 point 3 months ago

I got it on cyber monday this year lol it told me i have to update the bios which idk how to

S_U_C_C submitter 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

ok so if you want to update the bios you will either need an external gpu or an update kit from amd https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100

here is a guide on how to flash the motherboard with the latest bios https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-bXa_gPsQQ
