Description

I built this rig as my first gaming build more than a year ago. At the time, it was about $1,500 (AUD). I have had no troubles with this build and it played any game smoothly. I found this to be a great beginning build and highly recommend to others who are looking to start at a relatively cheap-ish price (in Australia anyway).

The case was quite small and didn't leave much room for cable management but as a first time builder, I wasn't too worried about it. I added more fans because I liked the blue colour in my case.

This rig was running windows 8.1 and as I said before, had no issues performing tasks and running games smoothly. If you plan on running extreme processors/games, I would suggest a better CPU and more RAM + an SSD to store the OS on. This'll speed up the rig but as a beginning build, I was very happy with this.

The keyboard is rather flat so keep that in mind when ordering it.

By the end of this rig, I found that I wanted more speed and processing power. Check out my other projects to find out what I have and what I am aiming to build.

Cheers :)

Hey, thanks for the support :) I highly recommend this as a first build. Handles most modern games at a relatively high level.

Thank you. It was just that, adequate for all of my needs when I first built it. Unfortunately, as time progressed, my work load increased and expanded into media. I'm now in the process of upgrading this pc. You can check out my current build here: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/2LKFMp

Plus the build I am to have, here: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/zNmvkL

Stay tuned for more builds/pics :)
